Do you think it'll be mobbed by TRAs as the venue's been announced in advance or not because of the security at the HOC?

I've also emailed my MAP and asked him to attend, or at least speak to Mr Davies. I live in a strong Labour area and am an extreme optimist.

Supporting the suppression of free speech and open discussion? That really isn't on. They should be be ashamed of aligning themselves with such extreme views. Especially the 'L's!

What are the chances of it being cancelled?

Attempts to shut it down are running on two fronts....

1. With dossier of evidence of 'Hate Speak' as collated by Guiliana et al & speakers being either under investigation / suspended from LAbour Party
2. That the event is women-only so in contravention to equalities acts (

Not seen it on mine. Not sure it will convince many. No-one is claiming the TRAs can't use social media well. I think the general public just don't realise that the term transexual (as used by them and as will be if gender self id comes in) no longer applies to a handful of folk who have had counselling, surgery and hormones but anyone who wants to claim to be of the opposite gender/sex with no modifications at all. The message will gradually filter through and we will win. Most people are sensible.

People just don't realise. I find it immensely frustrating that if you mention women's loos, they say do you REALLY think transwomen will go to all the trouble of living g as a woman and dressing as a woman just to see women on the loo?? And they just don't realise that if self id goes ahead these transwomen could look exactly like men, with beards and penis especially, so THAT MEN WHO WANT TO DO HARM CAN ENTER WITHOUT CHALLENGE

Popping in from Scotland to say that I've just realised I'm actually excited about this evening's meeting! As in physically, fidgety, smiley excited! I think reading the twitter thread from Deptford has set me off!
