If so, see you there!

Do you think it'll be mobbed by TRAs as the venue's been announced in advance or not because of the security at the HOC?

MM has retweeted Giuliana, a TRA who is the goadiest of fuckers and I can’t work out whether it’s supporting her or saying I’ll decide for myself, we can’t shut down debate. Anyway, seems an odd thing to do.

BykerBabe · 14/03/2018 13:35

Can I ask, I've seen several tweets saying some of the organisers or speakers are under investigation by the police for hate speech. Is this true?

Tralalee · 14/03/2018 13:35

That statement by Deptford is heartbreaking.

AnotherTerfyNameChange · 14/03/2018 13:45

LongWeek it is NOT women only! They asked make ticket holders to step aside because the venue is smaller than Millwall. ANY mp can attend and it will hearten his constituents hugely if they know he's supporting this Smile

SunsetBeetch · 14/03/2018 13:45

Oh bloody hell. I've got an awful feeling it will be shut down at the 11th hour.

LongWeek · 14/03/2018 13:47

Another- my mistake- I'd seen a tweet saying all women MPs welcome.
Not sure how the diary is looking for this evening- it's likely to be very booked up in advance.

To those wanting to phone in support- you could call the HoP main switchboard 020 7219 3000 and ask to be put through to David TC Davies office. He is hosting it.

Maria Miller has retweeted 'Guiliana' an especially active TRA account. This account has been incredibly active creating an incredibly extreme narrative over recent days. The account has been dismissed as a troll but has being spread widely and often left unchallenged....

MM has tweeted in favour of freedom of speech and debate as far as I can see.

LongWeek · 14/03/2018 13:49

Shitting it down would surely be a massive mistake.
It would be telling the world that there is no longer free speech allowed in our parliament.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 14/03/2018 13:50

Fucking hell, Giuliana is going tonto on twitter

grandplans · 14/03/2018 13:50

BykerBabe detail on that here: www.theposieparker.com/news

MM didn't 'retweet' implying she agreed.
She replied to the tweet- I think in support of free speech. She has to tread a fine line.

Igneococcus · 14/03/2018 13:53

That twitter statement by Lucy Loves Live is fabulous. I might finally join twitter just to tell her so.

SuitedandBooted · 14/03/2018 13:54

Just had nice email from David Davies! Smile.

Good luck everyone!

TerfyMcTerface · 14/03/2018 13:55

I know that there are Tory MPs, apart from David Davies, who are concerned about the lack of free speech on this issue. So I am reasonably confident that the event won’t be cancelled. As Longweek says, it would send a terrible message about our democracy if they were to do that.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 14/03/2018 13:56

WTF is Giuliana tweeting? I don't believe for a minute that a genuine feminist page talks about 'we've got to fuck trannies'. That has TRA written all over it.

LongWeek · 14/03/2018 14:01

Don't forget, in 1984 the IRA bombed the tory party conference. A few weeks later Jeremy corbyn invited Gerry Adams into the HoP for a meeting. It would take quite a lot for commons authorities to cancel the meeting tonight.

Nosetothesun · 14/03/2018 14:10

I don't think its about the nuance of Maria Miller's possible intentions... the claims and examples in Giuliana's tweet will be seen and read far and wide. Most people will not have time to spend unpicking. The current cross party political focus is (rightly in my opinion) shutting down hatred online- BF have been removed from FB today.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 14/03/2018 14:12

Good news is that Sam Feeney has put a shirt on in his twitter bio pic. Fuck only knows what that topless one was about

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 14/03/2018 14:13

Not really Nose, anyone who gives a fuck has been banned by her, except her band of merry men in their echo chamber

Nosetothesun · 14/03/2018 14:20

But there is a much wider audience who read Maria Miller's twitter feed... their views & opinion of the women who are raising concerns about the GRA etc is being shaped..... by TRA!

Melamin · 14/03/2018 14:29

Guiliana's tweets look like a fruitloop. I don't think people can be bothered reading tweets like that. Keep smiling and talking polite sense Wink

LangCleg · 14/03/2018 14:37

That Giuliana person is completely unhinged and spends all day, every day thoroughly demonstrating exactly why self-ID is a bad idea - because it would let disordered fantasists posing clear risk into spaces where women are vulnerable. That person has no perception of reality whatsoever.

LangCleg · 14/03/2018 14:39

incredible statement by the Deptford community group. really sums it up for me personally. i want to shout AND THIS IS WHY I HAVE BEEN VOTING LABOUR ALL THESE FUCKING YEARS

Same here. And we finally get an actual left wing leader, only to watch him transform the party into a playground for gentrifying ID pol fools. Especially, as the statement says, people from Goldsmith's, the locus of UK queer and pomo ideologues.

Nosetothesun · 14/03/2018 14:51

Many of Guiliana's tweets are re-tweeted by Helen@mimmymum ( from Mermaids.)
