The thing that struck me about OJ's "ha ha feminists all your activism made Labour hate women even more!!!" tweets was how close in tone they were to the whole "you provoked me", "look what you made me do" kind of narratives.

Was blocked by LOJ this week after an exchange over trans and informing him that this should not be conflated with gay rights, as he had done.

I did go on to say he was coming across as a nasty little misogynistic creep.
I suspect that did it, if I'm honest.

There was a time when men back in the 70s when a lot of men would have been much happier if gay men just moved along with their "effeminate" ways (stereotype back then) and got changed somewhere else. Men were worried it was catching or something or they'd be fancied by the gay men. The men all educated themselves and generally play nicely now and Owen is a beneficiary of educating men on such matters.

Trans men now on the scene in larger numbers and men are happy to send them down to the women's areas again as really they're a bit scared and don't know what to make of it all.

While normally I'd be happy to play out the hypocrite I anticipate a bit of a problem in that Owen looks like he's about 14 and most women may have a hard time even pretending to be willing to participate in the challenge for that reason.
