A Model Has Resigned As A Labour LGBT Adviser And Blamed Conservative Newspaper Attacks
"I refuse to be painted as a villain or used as a pawn in the press' efforts, especially those at The Daily Mail, to discredit the Labour Party and push their transphobic rightist agendas," Munroe Bergdorf said on Tuesday morning.

Ha.. Sounds like a more blamey spin on 'I would like to spend more time with my family' when you've been caught out saying/doing appalling things and been told to resign.

flapsDentata · 06/03/2018 09:34

Good.

vaginafetishist · 06/03/2018 09:35

Good. Completely inappropriate appointment.

flapsDentata · 06/03/2018 09:37

Causes widespread offence, blames those offended. Nailed this victim Ponzi scheme. No understanding of why a vast majority of people found this appointment highly problematic. On the left and right.

LangCleg · 06/03/2018 09:41

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Typical narcissist. Accusing others of their own sins.

Good riddance.

But let us never forget how exposing this has been of Dawn Butler and her capacity to manage a brief in opposition, let alone government. I despair of Labour. It took me a long time to leave but I'm glad that I've finally done it. I just wish there was someone else to vote for.

RedToothBrush · 06/03/2018 09:47

If Toby Young had to go, then so did Munroe Bergdorf.

The two are cut from the same cloth.

Its as simple as that. Nothing left or right wing about that. Its about being an offensive prick, with no respect for certain groups and no shame about being abusive.

We need less people like this in positions of authority, particularly political positions.

Good.

nauticant · 06/03/2018 09:55

After this set-back, I wonder if this will motivate the Labour Party to get themselves a trans "win"?

Tralalee · 06/03/2018 09:58

Presumably she jumped before pushed

Iminthecclubnow · 06/03/2018 09:58

Oh.

Good.

RedToothBrush · 06/03/2018 09:58

What odds are Ladbrookes offering on Lily Madigan being Bergdorf's replacement?

Miranda Yardley would be my choice, for replacement

Any lesbians who might be appropriate for the role?

OP posts:
vaginafetishist · 06/03/2018 10:08

Think how much Madigan would love to represent lesbians.

YourVagesty · 06/03/2018 10:09

Thank god. Buh-bye Munroe

KatherinaMinola · 06/03/2018 10:09

Any lesbians who might be appropriate for the role?

Don't be ridiculous.

loveyouradvice · 06/03/2018 10:10

red toothbrush so agree to both your comments.... yup, about time focus moved off transwomen.... and recognition that LGB are both AS relevant and actually are relevant to far more people

Oh. I hadn't thought of Eddie Izzard either.

I wasn't going to click on the link because I despise Buzzfeed more that the Daily Mail these days.

But I gave in and had a read and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of bias. Good that they led with the racism and the 'hairy barren lesbian' tweets etc. Even if you were on the extreme left you'd find it hard to have any sympathy wouldn't you?
