Labour MP thinks men are women and says women can never say no to men.

Response from Labour MP - man aged 67 who will never be impacted by this so proud to give away consent and rights of women, why would he care if it makes him seem cool with the queer folk.

So men can go on the All women shortlists because they are men. Women cannot say no to men in female spaces if men decide it's ok. If men decide you are safe you can just shut up about it as its not fair to men otherwise. Waffle waffle waffle about "gender assignment" and "gender identity". I think he has put them in inverted comma because he has no idea what they mean.

Give me a large gin.

Also @FEJ2016, could you please tell us your definition of women?

FEJ2016 · 26/02/2018 20:48

Yes. A human being who identifies as a woman... it's really not hard.

thebewilderness · 26/02/2018 20:48

Also, soon you will be in such a minority with your views you will be like the racist grandparents your grandchildren are embarrassed of.
Do you put on blackface and claim to be Black?

HairyBallTheorem · 26/02/2018 20:49

Oh look, another plopper registered on the site just to tell us we're doing womaning wrong. How predictable.

Just to remind you - recent case of woman going for a smear test to find herself confronted with a trans identifying male HCP, who threw a hissy fit when she said she'd rather have a woman.

"This never happens".

Travis "I like dressing like a 15 year old because they're so naughty" Ablanza in the changing rooms of Top Shop (a chain largely frequented by teenage girls.)

"This never happens."

"Davina" Ayrton, "Martin Ponting aka Jessica Winfield, the list goes on and on...
Times article - Up to half of trans inmates may be sex offenders.

"This never happens."

Well, self-evidently, it does happen you numpty.

SmurfOrTerf · 26/02/2018 20:50

Wow Trans Bigot Bingo

4 out of ten

FEJ2016 · 26/02/2018 20:51

I'm a woman. I don't believe you're doing 'womaning' wrong, I believe you're doing compassionate human wrong... soz to have offended your trans-hating pitch-fork-wielding highness.

SmurfOrTerf · 26/02/2018 20:52

Don't they teach biology in school any more ?

SmurfOrTerf · 26/02/2018 20:53

Please FEJ report any trans hating post as MNHQ will delete it PDQ

OrderOnline · 26/02/2018 20:54

I don't believe you're doing 'womaning' wrong, I believe you're doing compassionate human wrong My compassion offers you a space separate from men, separate from women and separate from disabled people, your own safe and private space. Where is your compassion for others wanting the same thing as you?

HairyBallTheorem · 26/02/2018 20:54

There are people who say they feel like a cat inside. There are people who feel they're fat even though they're dying of starvation. There are people who say they feel black inside even though they're white (Rachel Dolzeal). There are also people who lie about how they feel inside.

Someone being prepared to say "I feel like a woman" (a) has no ontological status - it does not tell us they really are a woman and (b) gives us no legal criterion to distinguish between those sincerely (albeit delusionally) asserting they feel like a woman and those lying for material gain of some sort.

PleaseDontGoadTheToad · 26/02/2018 20:55

A human being who identifies as a woman

That's a bit of a circular definition, isn't it?

In order to identify as something that something has to exist. So in order to identify as a woman, we would still need to know what the definition of a woman is in this context and what part of being a woman this person identifies with.

So I'll rephrase my question @FEJ2016. Can you define what a woman is without including the word woman in your definition?

FEJ2016 · 26/02/2018 20:55

Don't they teach history where you were? Trans people have always existed. For as long as the history books go back. It's a recognised medical condition. They're not some weird subsection of criminals, they're normal people who are unfortunately born feeling like they have been given the wrong body. They feel like they are the opposite gender. They aren't evil they deserve our compassion and understanding.

HairyBallTheorem · 26/02/2018 20:56

And I'll save my compassion for the rape crisis centre in Canada driven to the brink of bankruptcy by a trans identifying male who spent 10 fucking years suing them (eventually lost his case, but cost them a huge amount in legal fees on the way), all because they said "look, our very very vulnerable client base need biological women as counsellors" and he threw a hissy fit.

OrderOnline · 26/02/2018 20:57

Don't they teach history where you were? Women have always existed. For as long as the history books go back. It's a recognised biology. They're not some weird subsection of criminals, they're normal people who are unfortunately born feeling like they have been given a body. They feel like they are themselves. They aren't evil they deserve our compassion and understanding.

Ouchbirthhurted · 26/02/2018 20:58

Great you will go and meet them. This is going to be such a huge vote loser, and it's got to be worth a try.

Same with telling others. If Labour want to implode themselves with this then the more the conservatives see and hear how huge an issue this is for people, the more likely they are to look for a solution that supports both groups.

FEJ2016 · 26/02/2018 20:59

And where in offering understanding to trans women does it say that you must exclude women from your compassion? Just be nice to all humans. It's not that hard

Mouthandtrousersall · 26/02/2018 20:59

Also, soon you will be in such a minority with your views you will be like the racist grandparents your grandchildren are embarrassed of. I hope someone other than you manages to teach them how to speak of other human beings with respect and understanding.

Nice to meet you too.

We have been tolerant of your lunacy. But will only go so far. Go away with your silly comparisons to racism, they do not stack up, and as my grandparents were in Dachau and Auschwictz I would suggest you just keep that snideness in check.

Don’t feed the GF.

You won’t persuade the misogynist not to hate women. If they haven’t noticed the homophobia and violence associated with their cause yet then nothing we can say will change their minds.

FEJ2016 · 26/02/2018 21:01

Discrimination and hate is the same whoever you are directing it towards. It has a very direct correlation with racism. Hating what you don't fully understand.

OrderOnline · 26/02/2018 21:02

And where in offering understanding to women does it say that you must include transwomen from your compassion? Just be nice to all humans. It's not that hard

We can exclude biological men from our private and safe spaces, it's in the EA2010. As you say it's not hard to be nice to us.

HairyBallTheorem · 26/02/2018 21:03

They are tiresome though - because by using the #nodebate nonsense, they've created a climate where we have to answer them, however idiotic their comments are. We can't just let them go.

They want to shout women down with their "four legs good, two legs better", "2+2=5" crap, they're relying on people not answering them.

Which is why, sadly, we have to engage and correct the false assumptions and garbage with actual facts and demands for explanations and logical argument which go beyond the mindless mantra of "transwomen are women."

PleaseDontGoadTheToad · 26/02/2018 21:03

Trans people have always existed

Yes we know that. Nobody here is denying trans people exist or that they have always existed.

It's a recognised medical condition.

So you think it's a medical condition? In that case, according to trans activists you're a transphobe and a TERF and deserve to die in a fire. Sorry about that Wink

They're not some weird subsection of criminals

Nobody has said they are.

What people have said however if that if self identification becomes law then men who are criminals will take advantage of it. This has already happened in places like the US and Canada where self identification is already in place.

they're normal people who are unfortunately born feeling like they have been given the wrong body

Exactly. They feel like they were born in the wrong body but that doesn't mean they literally were born in the wrong body or that they really are the opposite sex.

And just like your previous comment, according to current trans ideology, this comment would also have you branded a bigot and a transphobe in their eyes.

They aren't evil they deserve our compassion and understanding.

And they have lots of it from us. Just ask any of the numerous trans posters who are regulars here or the parents of trans children who post here.

HairyBallTheorem · 26/02/2018 21:04

Sorry, that was to Nanny

NannyOggsKnickers · 26/02/2018 21:07

I know hairy but this one isn’t even subtle. Looks like TRA Head Office has sent out a flying monkey again.

FEJ2016 Can you explain the concept of the ‘cotton ceiling’ to me without being homophobic?

Mouthandtrousersall · 26/02/2018 21:09

We don't fully understand!. There you go. We don't fully understand.

Thank goodness @FEJ2016 came along to tell us we don't understand. It's all right folks, just go home, FEJ2016 has explained, it all -

Being a woman It's a recognised medical condition
