www.youngfabians.org.uk/transmisog

''100 years on since the first women got the vote, there are still inequalities in the feminist movement. Why are some feminists still failing transwomen?

The evidence is there if you look for it – Transphobic leaflets being given out in the safe zone at Labour annual conference; prominent party feminists suggesting violence against transwomen; someone being kicked out of a Labour Women’s Network party for harassing a teenage trans woman; fundraisers being started to try and legally challenge Labours trans-inclusive policies; transwomen being excluded from Labour run women’s events by a women’s officer. The list goes on.

Most state their actions aren’t transphobic at all, but they are merely seeking the protection of women’s spaces. Some go further, suggesting transwomen are men’s right activists working purposely to erode women’s hard won protects. They commonly misgender people like me as a means to belittle our experiences and score social media points. And so I think its fair we question how much authority they have as cis-women to decide whether they are being transphobic.''

It continues in this vein.

Mind you, many girls with that shape would just buy from the boys' section. Lily could try that?

BeeInMyBonnet1985 · 07/02/2018 11:29

You can tuck your bratwurst as much as you want, Lily, but that pesky male entitlement always shines through regardless.

What actual women beg for 'cute' clothes on Twitter - never mind dress it up as some sort of act towards social justice? What a c--k.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 07/02/2018 11:33

Brilliant idea though - I now identify as a size 8. Saves me going the diet I thought I needed to fit back in my clothes. Result. I'm liking this POMO thinking after all. And anyone who says I am a wearing clothes too small is a sizephobic bastard

BlindYeo · 07/02/2018 11:35

You can get decent clothes very cheaply in a charity shop.

Thisusernamethingistricky · 07/02/2018 11:36

LM is very skinny, so probably does need 'thin' clothes.

But size 8 is a female size, cut for a female body, which LM does not have. The very fact that they are asking for 'size 8' clothes as a validation for their womanhood, when they do not have a 'size 8' body, because they have a male body, shows how this stuff flies in the face of reality.

And also, is there any elected officer in the LP, or any other part for that matter, who scroungers for clothes on Twitter in this way?

BeeInMyBonnet1985 · 07/02/2018 11:44

I've been a size 8 (not since baby no 2 obviously, but I digress) and I don't buy that Lily would fit into a female size 8. The cut would be all wrong...even 'skinny' women's sizing is cut to allow for a certain amount of ass/hips/thigh/bust weight. His shape is all wrong.

This is what makes it so easy to clock a TiM out in public. Their bodies simply don't 'look right' in clothing cut for women. The only TiM I ever knew that came close to passing (didn't actually pass, but close enough if you didn't look too hard) was the one who stuck to shapeless 'boyfriend' style clothes and still shopped mainly in the men's section.

NataliaOsipova · 07/02/2018 11:53

And anyone who says I am a wearing clothes too small is a sizephobic bastard

😂😂

NataliaOsipova · 07/02/2018 12:26

.....and if shops don't make size 8 clothes to fit me (even if I'm pushing a 16), then they're sizephobic bastards. It's literal violence, I tell you....

athingthateveryoneneeds · 07/02/2018 12:33

What an embarrassment to the Labour party. Again.

PositivelyPERF · 07/02/2018 12:43

He should get himself a sugar daddy. I’m sure all those male mps that support this nonsense will be lining up to take him on. Isn’t it funny how you read about women being sexually harassed in parliament, yet no TIMs? It’s almost as if they don’t really believe them to be women. But...but...but, surely not, that would be transphobic! 🤔

ChattyLion · 07/02/2018 13:31

Representative officers of a political party cannot go online begging to be sent ‘cute clothes’.

  1. proper governance in other positions of influence and representation would not allow someone in a public-facing role to solicit gifts OR to become indebted or beholden or indeed bribed by anyone by receiving any such gifts. Clearly it would be directly in conflict with their necessary position of impartiality in the role to ask for or to receive gifts.

  2. no one would EVER allow a woman in a woman’s officer role to get away with tweeting that.

WTH is going on here?

athingthateveryoneneeds · 07/02/2018 13:35

This really needs to be reported, yes?

ChattyLion · 07/02/2018 13:46

a thing.
My ‘cannot’ was moral, rather than a legal or Labour Party governance ‘cannot’- I don’t know what Labour Party rules are.
But they should be able to see that asking online for ‘cute clothes’ to be sent to a Labour Party officer is not in keeping with the role. It could lead to all sorts of problems including direct conflict of interests if party post-holders are allowed to seek out or accept gifts.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 07/02/2018 13:54

Indeed.

I'm a carer and am not able to accept gifts from service users above the value of £10, and it still needs to be recorded.

Surely LM is held to similar if not more rigorous standards...

ChattyLion · 07/02/2018 13:55

Labour might want to ask its office holders to agree to adhere to the same principles as other public office holders, if they don’t already.

iamawoman · 07/02/2018 13:57

Surely this is grounds for dismissal as she is abusing her position

ChattyLion · 07/02/2018 14:02

The Nolan principles are also relevant for public office holders who become aware of others’ non-observance of the Nolan Principles.

  1. Selflessness
Holders of public office should act solely in terms of the public interest.
  1. Integrity
Holders of public office must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. They should not act or take decisions in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family, or their friends. They must declare and resolve any interests and relationships.
  1. Objectivity
Holders of public office must act and take decisions impartially, fairly and on merit, using the best evidence and without discrimination or bias.
  1. Accountability
Holders of public office are accountable to the public for their decisions and actions and must submit themselves to the scrutiny necessary to ensure this.
  1. Openness
Holders of public office should act and take decisions in an open and transparent manner. Information should not be withheld from the public unless there are clear and lawful reasons for so doing.
  1. Honesty
Holders of public office should be truthful.
  1. Leadership
Holders of public office should exhibit these principles in their own behaviour. They should actively promote and robustly support the principles and be willing to challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs.
nauticant · 07/02/2018 14:20

LM doesn't want clothes, size 8 or otherwise. They're counting on people saying "you know what, it would be simpler for me just to send cash".

Waddlelikeapenguin · 07/02/2018 14:23

The Emperor wants new clothes
GrinGrinGrin

PositivelyPERF · 07/02/2018 14:26

Let’s be fair, he might be a size &, as he doesn’t have any breasts, what with him being a man and all. I’ve barely any, am average framed and at my lightest would just have squeezed into a size 8.

PositivelyPERF · 07/02/2018 14:27

The Emperor wants new clothes 🤣

Amortentia · 07/02/2018 15:44

Oh FFS - how much flak would there be if under normal circumstances a political party women's officer tweeted asking for cute clothes, never mind the size 8

That’s how you know the mainstream don’t really take Lily seriously. If they did lily would have shown up on the DM sidebar of shame ‘showcasing’ her trim size 8 figure. 🙄

MySqueeHasBeenSeverelyHarshed · 07/02/2018 15:54

Thought this might be useful information for this thread...

Lily has faked an attack on themselves.

The picture they tweeted had the username cropped out, and then the person running the account deleted it but not before it was archived and traced.

Turns out the account is @lilyburner2, an account that was shilling for Lily up until the day of the 'attack' when they suddenly liked a lot of gender critical stuff and changed their profile image.
