I am dying to post this to every brocialist on twitter [Ralf Little, Jo Maugham, Eddie Marsan etc] who sees fit, after zero research on the matter, to mansplain to women how bigoted they are for 'denying trans rights': However I am not anonymous on twitter and use it for work purposes so can't. Wish someone would.

I'm always surprised that Jack Monroe lets herself get bullied so much by the trans activists, and backs down every single time they yell at her. Surely their aggression and unpleasantness is the clue she needs that perhaps, just perhaps, they might not be the right people to listen to... She's like the weak kid at school who hangs out with the bullies because she's too scared to stand up to them and it's safest to be part of their gang than a target.

Didn't Monroe have a moment of self-awareness at the women's march where she made the connection between the shit treatment she's often subjected to and the fact that she's female? Sad to see that it didn't last, but to be fair given how strongly she's been associated with the trans rights movement if she was to try to extricate herself at this stage the backlash would be brutal. Even very mild, gentle questioning and they turned on her.

I have donated. I wish I could give more. I wish this wasn't necessary but since it is I'll do all I can to help fight this ridiculousness.

There are tons of trans women in IT, you'd think they could raise more money than that.

Jack is a MNer and came on this board a couple of years ago or so using her own name and started a thread. She seemed to be up for listening to other POVs but then disappeared just as she appeared to get it. But we're all busy, and nobody has to return to a thread if they don't wish to.

I do admire Jack's work around poverty, and I think there is probably a lot of common ground between her and this board re. feminism.

I can fully understand not wanting to feel the wrath of the TRAs though. I am not brave enough to take them on, and I think all of you that do are awesome.

Jonah Mix has done some really good writing. He took down his site though, a while back IIRC. Such a pity, there was some great material there. He really gets it.

I guess it's much easier to virtue signal and parrot the 'trans women are women' mantra than it is to stick your hand in your pocket and put your money where your mouth is?

Delurking just to say that I've donated and I support these brave wonderful women wholeheartedly. Let's keep fighting.

Also, if any of you live in the North West, there will be a CLP meeting in Sandbach soon, with Mermaids as guest speakers. I would love to go but I'm not brave enough to argue for us TERFs ;) on my own. :(

She didn't care about poverty when she was threatening legal action and tweeting Ralf she could have her legal team help him. I asked her to look at the small donations and how could the Abused Women who donated be a bigot. She has forgotten what life is like without a legal team, out of touch.

The failure of the pro-trans fundraiser speaks volumes about the narcissism of some TRAs. Surely most of them could spare a fiver to help others.

You know, if there was a campaign to set up that acknowledged that AWS ought only to be open to women, but that wanted to give trans people a fair crack of the whip by setting up some trans only lists, open to trans identifying males and females alike, I'd consider slinging them a fiver.

It'll never happen, of course. The victory is in colonising women's spaces and forcing uppity women to submit.

My allegiance is with uppity women.They would be my +1 at a party, they don't whinge about their oppression.
