I've just checked my spam folder and it's full of porn spam.

All of it since my donation to the Go Fund Me.

I used to get maybe one spam message a week, from some Canadian Pharma spam thingy trying to sell me viagra.

No porn before. Now it's all Flirt4Free, Horny Affairs, and FreeLiveSexChat, with subject lines that say "Who is naughtier, Kandice or Arlinda?" and the like.

Also "urgent" messages from Klara, Shantae, Holley, Gretchen, Evon, and Thelma, none of which I've opened but all of which start with the word 'Yo'

So is someone at Go Fund Me supporting sexual harassment and intimidation of women by signing them up to porn spam sites? Perhaps with the intention of preventing women from supporting this kind of cause in the future? You wouldn't like to think so but it really wouldn't surprise me.

That's really interesting. I made a small donation under a false name which got refunded and haven't donated again yet as waiting for payday. No porny spam on that email. So possibly was done after that to the remaining funders.

I think I'm going to find a nice acronym for those who beat up women and object to women's being centred in women's discussions.

I've donated more than once. Real name which matches card but ticked the anonymous box. No increase in spam and no forced refund.

That said, I would recommend that people do not use their main email address for this outfit. And to register complaints with both the company and ICO.

Nah, I can't be. I don't even punch my own elderly and sometimes confused mother for calling me my 'old' name (I only changed one letter, of course she will sometimes use it, she gave it to me after all)

A survey has just been posted to the Go Fund Me. It would be helpful for as many people possible who have donated to fill it.

I struggled a bit with the last question (you could only pick one) so if you are reading JJ if the AWS is won I would support the money going firstly to those who face legal troubles for the involvement in the campaign and also to donate any remaining to somewhere like Women's Place.

Just filled out the survey too. I was thinking of A Woman's Place for the third question, but ideally I would like the money to go to strategic litigation for strengthening women-only spaces. Or even trying to repeal the GRA!

I've also filled it out. Some of the options were awkward.

Jen - if you're reading, my position is this:

I don't want the money back. Priorities for spending:

1. AWS
2. defending women in legal/disciplinary difficulties over the funder
3. Any other legal challenge to self-ID

Oh yes!

4. donate to A Woman's Place

I completed the survey but felt the questions were quite limited. I donated to the fund to challenge a clear legal point of law that the Labour Party are ignoring sex as a recognised characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. I expected the questions in the survey to be something like: If not the funds are not used to ensure only people legally recognised as women can enter AWS (assuming the legal fight is won without using the funds), then the funds will be used for x,y,z. I completed the survey but it seemed more interested in Labour Party interests rather than women's and children's interests.
