Lily Madigan and Aisling Musson are asking for 'screenshots and evidence of transphobic behaviour' so they can make Labour 'a truly safe space for all members regardless of their gender identity or lack thereof.' In other words, doxxing people so they can be thrown out of the party for gender-critical views.

The group write-up is:

A group formed to oppose the rising tide of Transphobia in the UK Labour Party and to seek to make the Party a truly safe space for all members regardless of their gender identity or lack thereof.

PLEASE READ THE PINNED POST

If you have screenshots and evidence of transphobic behaviour please put them in the google drive folder rather than offloading them straight into the group as it may otherwise be overwhelming and trans members should have the option to not have to look at upsetting comments.

Do not add anyone unless you are sure that they:

  1. Are a member of the Labour Party
  2. Believe the basis of gender is self-definition
  3. Think that transphobia is grounds for expulsion from the party
  4. Respect the autonomy of trans people to direct the fight against transphobia (I.e will not take decisions against the will of trans people)

If you are a trans and/or non binary person and you would like to be added to the secret group (trans/nb people only) please message lily madigan or aisling musson and we will add you.

Rules:

  • No advocacy for violence, threats of violence of other illegal acts (quite apart from the morality of it, please do not get this group shut down)
  • This is a not a discourse group. If you do not agree that transphobia is bad, that the Labour party has it and that we should fight it, this is not a group for you.
  • Be respectful. As far as possible, please always be friendly, respectful and comradely and treat others as you would wish to be treated.
-No members of other parties.
  • TERF is not a slur.

janice turner? Im not on twitter but her twitter handle is @VictoriaPeckham is anyone wants to tweet her the link?

exLtEveDallas · 21/01/2018 16:08

Lisa Muggeridge (not Labour) is going absolutely BATSHIT about this on Twitter at present. I am very hopeful that this may well be the tipping point for Madigan.

Badweekjustgotworse · 21/01/2018 16:12

link for that thread exLt?

exLtEveDallas · 21/01/2018 16:16

Ooh I've not tried to do that before. Hold on.

Bearsinmotion · 21/01/2018 16:18

That evidence link is being updated as we speak. It is genuinely insane. In some cases it is people retweeting gender critical statements or just asking questions. Batshit. It is accessible anonymously I know, but if it was seem more publicly I would like to think it shows how batshit the whole thing is.

Does that work?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/01/2018 16:20

What's her backstory?

GrimDamnFanjo · 21/01/2018 16:20

Anyone tweeted this thread to Guido Fawkes or emailed [email protected] ? Would be the quickest way to get it into the mainstream media?

Badweekjustgotworse · 21/01/2018 16:22

yup that works, thanks. he's livid! I hope she has screenshots of her name and supposed 'evidence' on that spreadsheet as she's now been deleted

It has to be surely..Labour absolutely cannot defend this or sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened.

irretating · 21/01/2018 16:26

There's a warning on the spreadsheet regarding not posting any information that's not already in the public domain. It seems this caution has come to late, membership numbers have been posted, deleted now but not before screenshots were taken. Now, how would they get membership numbers if they don't have someone looking through the database?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/01/2018 16:27

Mm. And who, I wonder, might have access to the database...

Bearsinmotion · 21/01/2018 16:28

There’s a fair few people on that list who don’t appear to be affiliated to Labour in any formal capacity.

And I have taken a screen shot with Lisa’s name on the list, should anyone be interested.

I bloody love Lisa Muggeridge. She brings a new dimension to the term "challenging" but she has taught me a lot over the years.

She HATES the Labour Party with a passion (but is not a Tory) and quite why she would be on a Labour witch hunt list is ludicrous, given her history with them, Owen Jones and his crew, and the Corbynites more generally.

And, more to the point, she is against transactivism but always sticks up for TIMs as individuals (and as women, too).

misskelly · 21/01/2018 16:31

The interesting thing I’ve noticed recently on Twitter is that they have made a subtle shift towards aligning those they call Terfs as also being racists who are against WOC. As more people are realising the ridiculousness of the stuff the come out with against biology It’s a strategy that might work in attacking anyone critical of the trans cult.

BlindYeo · 21/01/2018 16:32

Hadley Freeman writes sensible things in the Guardian about transgender and transactivism. She is on Twitter.

Terrylene · 21/01/2018 16:38

Mm. And who, I wonder, might have access to the database...

"All that lovely data", perhaps Hmm

Oh god, this is more sinister than it first appears isn't it..

Labour absolutely cannot ignore this. This is a serious breach of security.

DailyWTFMoments · 21/01/2018 16:43

And who, I wonder, might have access to the database...

All too many people, sadly. Anyone who has been a candidate for local elections, or has supported someone who was, or who stuffs envelopes or makes calls for their party. They sign all sorts of disclaimers but local political party branches are so desperate for foot soldiers they'll hand a list of names and addresses to anyone more or less (or increasingly, give out a password to a database) - and voting intention, including party membership details, are a key part of that info.

Political Parties tend to play fast and loose with personal data in my experience......

Vicxy · 21/01/2018 16:44

Stephanie Davis Arie has just been added to the list.

So it seems they are adding people who are not signatories on the campaign also.

I await my name appearing.

Vicxy · 21/01/2018 16:44

Stephanie Davies-Arai even Blush

PlectrumElectrum · 21/01/2018 16:50

Logging on to access data can be traced though. Nothing is anonymous.

Person who made comments about ‘all that lovely data’ set up the closed Facebook group who set up a spreadsheet on women & added labour membership numbers & social media accounts? I’d start with their logged access in any investigation. And labour can’t ignore this if it’s reported to external authorities governing the storage and use of data, any data. There’s a reason companies gets fines & sanctions when the data they store gets mishandled. Labour aren’t exempt from the DPA, neither are their deluded members who set up this little enterprise.
