I didnt watch Transformation Street but there is an interview in this weeks Best with Stephanie (who used to be Mark) he told his wife two years into the marriage that he was transgender and she was shocked and upset but wanted the marriage to work. Over the next 20 years they didnt really discuss his trans feelings but his wife knew when he was "getting stressed and needed to be a woman for a while". So his wife would take their boys on day trips out so he could transform himself for a while.

Because of reading these threads i immediately started to wonder if she ever got an outlet or any me time for dealing with her own stress including the stress that may have been caused by this.

I am sorry for the woman in this sorry saga, like I said before many trans people are very selfish with their consideration for others in any relationship , I have watched “my name is Jazz” An American trans woman which screened her life from the age of six, she has 3 other siblings which were sidelined by her parents fixation on helping her, I never got the sense that this trans woman ever fully appreciated the fact that her siblings missed out with their parents attention nor did she ever really thank them for their sacrifice. As a trans person this “man” knew before he married and should have told her before he married her, yes I understand that some are in denial and seek to marry to prove they are not transexual, but this only hurts all in the long run, which is why I never married, if he is a transvestite then I know many who lead ordinary lives with their partners and the spouse “accepts” that the trans person needs to have time out to play the fantasy, but again it is not fair to disclose this after marriage as it can effect the self worth of the spouse who could feel inadequate or depressed at this acting out.
I watched a programme on ITV last night titled “Trans Kids the right response” It was a bit woolly and vague, it tried to cover a huge subject in 30 minutes and in my view failed to do that.

I am sorry to say I have heard nothing else from my letters even though I sent each of them a second letter in the same vain, no communication as of today

Dear HelenaDove thank you,

I have had many nice chats since joining in on this excellent forum on mumsnet.com

It is my intention to go to the March on the 8th of March and I am hoping to confront politicians on the crazy law they intend to pass allowing anyone to self diagnose gender dysphoria and go into the toilet of that chosen gender, that is insanity, how is it remotely OK for a man to walk into a female rest room when his anatomy is still male whether he wears a dress or not, true women’s areas are shrinking all the time and this erosion is unfair.

I wrote a total of 6 letters to the Prime Minister, Jeremy Corbyn and my local MP with regard to this ill advised concession but as I said in an earlier reply none have responded as of yet.

And HelenaDove I think you are also a very nice human being 😍
