“We had a a lot of discussions around how the world has changed, and there are a lot of real things where you think ‘well, it was a long time ago’ – but there are also things that you feel you can still lampoon,” he said. “To me, some of the wilder extremities of gender politics create a kind of madness where almost nothing is capable of being said any more. I think that’s still an area where there is room to have a laugh.”

Co-creator Jeremy Dyson continued: “Gender politics isn’t really about gender politics. It’s about something else. There’s something else lurking underneath it.”"

Why aren't they getting massive amounts of grief about that from transactivists? Especially the last part about something else lurking underneath it!

I haven't watched it yet as I've been watching Olympia horse show which is hours long, but regardless I was a little scared to watch in case they'd given in. I love The LoG, one of my favourite comedy groups ever, and I was really worried they would cave because I knew Babs was coming back. Very glad to hear they haven't and looking forward to watching it now

Plus Mark Gatiss has been out for quite some time. I think this may confuse some people because surely the LGBTQIA+ (or whatever alphabet soup it is now) all support each other as one big happy family. Right?
