Lily is 19. Lily was instrumental in the hate campaign against Anne Ruzylo which resulted in her standing down.

You have to be a woman to be women’s officer but ‘The Labour councillor said that “lived experience as a woman” should be considered an advantage — but not a prerequisite — for the role of women’s officer.’

Lily could also have gone for the LGBT officer role but they didn’t want that. No, they wanted to show women that they can shit all over them and we will applaud them for doing it.

I’m absolutely furious about this ( as you can probably tell)

Women's Liberation Party

What with the WEP also buying into this shambles, can we initiate a Women's Liberation Party to counter this?

Seriously.

We need to coalesce around a unified voice to fight this.

Suggested basic principles

Liberation of females from male supremacy.

Abolition of gender. People can dress, present, be who they want to be, whether or not that correlates with traditional stereotypes and norms associated with their sex.

Changing sex is impossible, both medically and politically, but you can be free to choose to non conform with the gender norms of your birth sex. Hate crime based on gender non-conformity to be taken seriously.

Trans people have and deserve rights both for their unique trans status and at a general human rights level. But transwomen’s and natal women’s rights do not in any way overlap. They do not form a cohesive group with a common definition that is not based on either a tautology, or essentialist stereotypes.

Gender is no business of the state. There is no reason for the state to know or collect statistics on people's gender... it is a personal matter. Sex on the other hand is important for the planning of services such as maternity, cervical and prostate screening etc.

Acknowledgement of the fact that humans are a sexually dimorphic species and the material reality of biology. How this affects opportunities and outcomes for female sexed people in society. Women are more than their sex, but never less.

Sex is why women are oppressed and gender is how. Understanding the nature of sex based oppression is essential to dismantling the gender structures that hold women subjugated.

All male violence and harassment of females to be included as a hate crime category. Stiff sentences for serious sex offences against women and children.

Affirmative consent-based Sex Education throughout the school career, at an age appropriate level. Teaching respect for others’ boundaries and wishes.

"He seems very young and is I note autistic.
"

He is at least 26, possibly 28, I can't be bothered to Google it, but the autism is quite strong, his social skills are very severely lacking.

Momentum is trying to force through their candidate for MP over a woman who has done endless thankless work as a local councillor and is well liked and known in the constituency as someone who gets things done, apparently she's not sufficiently supportive of Corbyn though, so can't be allowed to succeed.

AssignedPerfectAtBirth · 20/11/2017 14:22

"So frankly when the Tory press are doing a better job of representing women's interests in this space than the Labour party then Labour can whistle for another farthing of my money."

It's actually not in my interests to vote for Labour but I did, because I believed in the common good. Not anymore, because they no longer do

It's "Adrie van der Meer"

He's Battle secretary www.bexhillandbattlelabour.org.uk/contact_us

This was he a few years ago www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?173384-I-got-skanked-by-a-whore

He had a Twitter but it's been deleted.

It doesn't seem to me like he should be involved in politics due to his level of social cluelessness.

The election of Liam Madigan, a 19 year old boy who hasn't even lived "as a woman" yet, had only been a member of Labour for a year, and who is under investigation for harassing and bulling women's officer Anne Ruzylo so badly that she resigned her post, is the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my life.

It also breaks LP rules as Liam does not have a GRC.

Superlandlady · 20/11/2017 14:34

No no no this is not Adrie....

Lily is Liam Madigan, 19. Joined Labour Party in May 2017. Six months ago.

No girl of 19 with 6 months membership could possibly be elected women's officer.

This is pandering.

pisacake · 20/11/2017 14:36

Adrie is the secretary in NettleTea's post at 13:23:08.

He has links to Lily/Liam.

Owen Jones@OwenJones84
So anti-trans people keep telling me a) I think cis lesbians have to have sex with trans women or they're bigots (no citation ever given, funny that!) and b) I have to have sex with a trans man. It's baffling and obsessive.

I'm also told my support for trans rights is motivated by misogyny, rather than, I dunno, being a socialist who objects to oppression and being a member of a minority that has suffered excruciatingly similar bigotry, bile and rejection.

Except its not the same.

That's the point. The differences.

If I had a penny for every time I was told it was the same, without people thinking about what they were saying I'd be rich.

When you do manage to get people thinking about it, it throws up all sorts of problems and issues, that well meaning and intentioned individuals have never even considered before.

The sheer shallowness of the debate is a huge part of the problem.

Notable are the selective comments that Jones picks up on as being 'baffling'.

OMG. What an utter cunt.

So has he played this Lily kid? Used him to what end? So he can manipulate him once he’s in post?

pisacake · 20/11/2017 14:39

hmm, how charming can a teenage boy be in such a limited twitter profile. Profile link is to 'rape.com'.

Datun · 20/11/2017 14:41

pisacake

Elsewhere he said he’s asexual. If I had a penny for the number of porn soaked men who claim they are asexual...

shhhfastasleep · 20/11/2017 14:42

It is totally irresponsible of the local party to put this young person in such a responsible post. Tokenisitic wankers.

It looks fairly clearly real to me. It's dated January 2013, so aged ~15. The sort of thing a 15-year-old boy might find funny.

Okay. I’m officially lost. Who is the person who alerted Lily to the fact that Anne Ruzylo had a private Twitter account which she retweeted gender critical articles?

Was it him?

Because I gathered from nettles post that he was a bully, not someone who is just naive and autistic.

( Sorry, I’m on both threads and 2 Facebook groups and it’s running very fast )

pisacake · 20/11/2017 14:49

rape and jimmy savile jokes. Ideal women's officer really.
