He has been tweeting a lot today, and the past few weeks, about the importance of transgender acceptance. However, he isn't engaging with the many people disagreeing with him! He just posts another passive-aggressive tweet in response to concerns.

I just know we are going to get another shitty pro-trans article from him soon...

I suspect it's the Guardian belatedly waking up to the fact that it has been alienating readers with its pro-TRA stance and its silencing of GC women. But it doesn't dare upset the Bro-gressives with an editorial stance that questions Trans ideology, so instead it commissions an opinion piece that it can disown if the reception is too negative.

Selma: I doubt the Bennett piece was commissioned. She's been writing a weekly Observer column for years, so I imagine she gets to choose her own subject. She's senior enough to be able to say what she likes without fear of recrimination, so she probably decided it was time to take a stand against TRA bullying.

Incidentally, I was interested that Zoe Williams used the word "spiteful". It seems to be the de facto word that TRAs turn to when they want to describe any opinion, however mild, that they disagree with.

I'm still getting over the sheer brass-necked cheek of the Owen Jones tweet I looked at earlier in which he said that he had never seen any TRA suggest that lesbians ought to have PIV with transwomen with penises (with the clear implication on his part that it was a made up batshit conspiracy theory on the part of feminists).

I simply do not believe he has never heard of Riley J Dennis. Dennis is "mainstream" in liberal feminist circles, is a regular writer on Everyday Feminism (or Everyday Handmaidenry as I prefer to think of it) and has made a series of youtube videos entitled "your genital preferences are transphobic." This is not esoteric stuff from a few fringe nutjobs on the further reaches of the internet, this is mainstream in the circles OJ mixes in. I don't believe the little creep when he says that he's never come across this. He is lying.

Let’s face it Owen Jones is just a rolling ball of personality and psychological problems. It’s obvious as soon he appears on tv it opens his mouth. He is one screwed up little specimen. Politics to him is not a vehicle for social change. It is a vehicle for bullying people he dislikes. This is why he signs up to the trans agenda. It enables him to bully women without owning his misogyny publicly.

Did Owen Jones really say that he thinks lesbians should have sex with trans women with penises but that he won't have sex with trans men with vaginas? Does anybody have a source for that? I thought he seemed like a reasonable person but if that is true I've gone off him completely.
