Can we not just arrange to meet somewhere near the venue once the venue is known??

I was going to suggest pming re meet up place. I shouldnt think the venue will be announced till last minute. I have friends and family in Glasgow so could get suggestions of centralish places from them.

Of course if any of you live there you will know more than me! Im sure we will figure it out.

Some women are organising an event in Edinburgh in the New Year if there is anyone interested. Not under the "We Need To Talk" brand though. I hope women can make it to that one too or instead of if you can't go to Glasgow. More information soon.

I don’t know - the day before maybe? I’m planning to go straight from work, so it makes no odds to me. But some people will need to plan transport.

@rjnomore1, the plan was for anyone who wants to meet up beforehand and go as a group. I’m more nervous about meeting other MNers than any possible intimidation at the venue. None of us know each other - we’ll all be in the same boat.

I'm not going to this one as it's too far, but as the venue will be under pressure from TRAs to cancel as soon as it's announced like the one in London and the one in York I imagine they will hold off announcing the exact location until quite soon before the event.

We could decide a couple of places at different parts of town to go with the eventual venue? Say something west end, something central, something east end, Southside etc. seeing as we don't know yet when venue will be announced/where etc.?

I probably know east end best, haven't a clue where is good west end/Southside?

Can you message more than one person at once here? We really need a WhatsApp group, I think, to arrange a meet-up. That way, no one needs to give their real names or MN identities. I can't think of the logistics ATM, but I'm happy to set one up. I know you can't be sure I am who I say I am (an almost 50-year-old female) but I have been on here for years and years, and I've met MNer prettybird in real life, so she could vouch for me. What do you think the easiest way to do it is?
