I’m a mother of a young disabled woman who has been sexually assaulted, once by a male member of staff .
Eventually we took a leap of faith and she moved to sheltered accommodation, the promise of female only workers was a deal breaker .
If the GRA is passed, potentially she could have a worker who has never lived as a woman for two years and had surgery , still a man a second far as I’m concerned .
When I messaged my LMP , she informed me that neither she or her colleagues had never considered the consequences of this to our daughter and other vulnerable women. This includes women using Women’s Aid and Wimen in Prison .
The prospect of this is horrendous .
