They have finally lost the plot. It's utterly shameful

I'm not sure how that fits in with class analysis. Without class analysis of men and women, you can't identify women's oppression.

Exactly.

You don't think sex offenders, who later identifiy as a women, in order to go to female prisons, might be quite blatantly up to something?

I don't believe this pink or blue brain stuff at all. I don't believe in souls, or being born in the wrong body. However I do believe in depression, body dysmorphia, society refusing to let men dress and behave how they like, while still being classed as men ("he likes wearing dresses, so he must be a woman"). And of course autogynephilia, which I have personal experience with. The guy I dated who had it, would often "cream himself" to use the vernacular, while wearing women's underwear or clothes. Without having to even touch himself. He also had a humiliation aspect to his fetish, would "accidently" send pics of himself in women's clothes, so he could get off on the embarrassment. He would qualify now to use female only spaces, which worries me.

"The difference between the singular and the plural is bloody obvious", yet you decided I meant all trans people, when I spoke about wolves in sheeps clothing, and not sex offenders who identify as trans (what the article was about).

VestalVirgin · 09/09/2017 14:00

Oh, this is rich. Haha. "aggressively gaslight anyone who disagrees with you" - what transwacktivists are doing all the fucking time!

Grin
MotherPeresA · 09/09/2017 14:00

You clearly don't understand what "gaslight" means, do you? I'll give you a clue. It's what you are doing, not me. But don't worry everyone can see that

^^

I think that's literally the definition isn't it? QE-fucking-D.

Ereshkigal · 09/09/2017 14:04

No it isn't. I'm not trying to make you think you're mad or overreacting. It's a deliberately manipulative tactic. You are really quite hard of thinking.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 09/09/2017 14:04

I quite like it when posters criticise others posters spelling , punctuation and grammar

Especially when they get it wrong

Even when they dont get it wrong it shows what type of person they are ...not in all cases obviously Grin but most

Ereshkigal · 09/09/2017 14:05

Thought you didn't want to engage with me any more anyway Hmm

Datun · 09/09/2017 14:06

WickedLazy

There was a thread on here a few months ago about autogynephilia. At least four women had direct experience of it from
partners. I popped over to netmums to take a look. It was even more over there. And several men who talked about their personal experience.

It's far more prevalent, I think, than people realise. I'm sure there are more cross dressing men than there are men with gender dysphoria.

Because now they can all feel legitimised by being called trans.

It's like one huge con.

Xenophile · 09/09/2017 14:09

WickedLazy it was perfectly clear what you meant to anyone who has a modicum of sense.

Birdchangedname · 09/09/2017 14:10

Anyone else noticed that trans allies get more hysterical and aggressive in their posts, the more you point at the holes in their religion?

I imagine it is really hard to keep believing with stuff like the Pink news article, Lian Huntley etc.

Birdchangedname · 09/09/2017 14:12

Another woman here with direct experience of AGP. Posted loads here about my marriage under "notwhatIexpected" and another username.

Damn, I'll have to change again now!

VestalVirgin · 09/09/2017 14:13

I'm not trying to make you think you're mad or overreacting.

You don't have to try to make someone think they're mad when, in fact, they are mad, and have to work hard to keep themselves from realizing that.

If I wanted to believe that the sky is yellow, and just so managed to convince myself of that by never looking up and only talking to people who share that belief, I'd be very upset if you looked up, pointed at the sky and said "Look! It is blue!"

Ereshkigal · 09/09/2017 14:15

Yes. I almost have sympathy for them painting themselves into a corner. But not quite.

Ereshkigal · 09/09/2017 14:16

Quite. And they are! Smile

Birdchangedname · 09/09/2017 14:19

Another thing I have noticed on these threads, the trans allies whole heartedly believe the transactivists, their thoughts and opinions are bulletproof and golden.

But the women who have experienced AGP, we know nothing, or are lying. Or just ignored.

That's a weird misogyny.

MotherPeresA · 09/09/2017 14:20

I wasn't going to. But you literally demonstrating what it means to gaslight someone within a sentence about gaslighting was just too low-hanging a fruit. Engaging is pointless. One can't even write sic without some smirking crony making out it's a psychological flaw.

Let's face it: this is a thread where someone - with an absolutely straight face - complained that Pink News was an echochamber.

But, who knows, some lurker out there might see the problem with making a homogenous entity of trans people. They might see the irony of doing so on a forum dedicated to fighting a social system that makes a homogenous entity of women.

I don't know many trans people and I am probably not up to date on your little ideological war you've got going on. No doubt I'd find equally nasty pieces of work on transactivist pages (I don't doubt the evidence of some other posters' experiences on that issue). But, I do recognise entrenched bigotry when I see it. I will call it out.

I've now done so.

WickedLazy · 09/09/2017 14:26

"some lurker out there might see the problem with making a homogenous entity of trans people."

To any lurkers.

I HAVE A HUGE FUCKING PROBLEM WITH

Birdchangedname · 09/09/2017 14:27

Teresa, you talk about a homogeneous approach to the Trans issue. That's what we are trying to stop!

At the moment, trans is used as an umbrella term to describe AGP, crossdressers, body dismorphia, intersex (even when intersex folk don't want to be) etc etc.

And legislation, and educational policies are being formed based upon this homogeneous thinking.

Do you really think that a 14 year old girl who thinks that she doesn't fit in with the socially defined gender role for women, should be treated as the same as a 40 year old man with a history of violent sex offences against women, who now wants to wear a dress?

MotherPeresA · 09/09/2017 14:27

I also think that any clique that self-congratulates itself on being the only place where people can see clearly (the sky is blue, or whatever), really ought to take a harder look at itself.

QuentinSummers · 09/09/2017 14:32

Oh hello again mother. Making as much sense as the last thread I was on with you.
Why do you feel it is bigotry to discuss why Pink News feels deadnaming a rapist is more horrific than putting said bepenised rapist in a women's prison?

WickedLazy · 09/09/2017 14:32

(Oops!) THE WHOLE TRANS ISSUE

Not that I consider all trans people dangerous. But I do think the trans issue is a symptom of something else.

It's all rooted in misogyny. Men don't like other men to act feminine. Terms like "gay", "sissy", "pussy" etc, are used to try to stop other men from exhibiting "feminine" behaviour or characteristics.

We have adult men, who are convinced there must be something wrong with them, and will go as far as having their genitals cut off, in order to be "right". Instead of embracing their penise's, and ma

Its not a psychological flaw is it?

Birdchangedname · 09/09/2017 14:36

Wicked - not just adult men, people are doing this to their kids.
