Ched appealed. Refused.
Ched's girlfriend offered 50k for anyone to bring 'new' information.
Two people came forward who had slept with the victim.
Ched appealed. Retrial granted.
Men who slept with victim (one prior to incident and one after) - explained how they had similar drunk sex with her, doggy style, and said 'fuck me'

Apparently this all sounded very familiar to ched evening - created reasonable doubt - and not guilty verdict given.

It's a sick world we live in.
This man knows exactly what he did and I wouldn't be suprised if he'd done it before. He seems to have a very self serving view of the whole thing, keeps talking about how sorry he is for the victim as if he was just some innocent bystander, but won't just STFU and let her get on with her life.

I agree that he knows he raped that woman but he's a GENUINE NARCISSIST who wants to control the public's thoughts and perceptions.

His poor victim. Not only was she raped by a man who is utterly determined to cast himself as a victim of raping her, but two men she'd slept with in the past came forward with "information" for money. You could say they owed her nothing, but for money they sided with a rapist.

I'm still shocked by the fact that two obviously bribed witnesses were allowed to give evidence.

Never mind that they'd also clearly been coached / were just repeating facts from the first case that had been published in the national media.

The best way to prevent rape is by keeping Ched Evans away from all women for the rest of his life. Sadly impractical.

I think it's 5.7% of reported rapes that lead to conviction in the UK. And most rapes aren't even reported. Clearly Ched Evans spouting drivel about drunk women putting themselves in danger and the police having an agenda is just what this country needs right now.

Also, apparently 12,000 men in England and Wales are raped a year (compared to 85,000 women), and yet I never hear this advice being directed at men. It's almost as if we don't think there's anything morally reprehensible about men going out drinking, so it doesn't occur to us to advise them to stop it...

I think Ched Evans is a danger to women. He has no idea what consent is.

One of the most horrifying things about this is that the poor woman never even reported the rape. She reported a lost handbag. Then the whole thing was taken out of her hands completely. She had no control over what happened to her and became a spectator in her own life. The stuff of nightmares.

Interesting isn't it? Often MRAs and other associated misogynists hard on about how men are subject to just as much rape and violence blah, blah, blah as women ... yet they do only think that women should be the ones to curtail behaviour.

Yeah, so basically your rape prevention advice is don't be the limping antelope, let some other girl get raped. What about when you are the limping antelope by virtue of being the only woman around? Or by living in the lions den without being aware?
Because a mans need to rape is just like a lions need to eat.
