This lovely person was elected to represent LGBT students. What a stunning and brave example they present.

I am not defending it. I am appalled that a thread about misogyny, anti lesbian hate speech and anti jewish hate speech, has been derailed.

MNHQ have recently changed their policy on deleting trans discussions. Unofficially of course but they have.

I don't believe any other trans individual has stood up and said that this person's behaviour is unacceptable, that itself tells me a lot about where we are now.

I'm guilty of engaging with the poster who derailed the thread. I think in future if I see that poster I will not engage because it will just turn into a bunfight. Sorry.

I was posting on the other thread. I honestly have no idea where any misgendering took place and apparently no idea what it actually is. It's a bloody minefield.

Rather like the Cologne and the immigration threads, there seem to be a few posters that look out for a particular subject and have a personal mission to turn it into a personal conversation with them splitting hairs and details so most posters leave, the dedicated remain, get angry enough to start bunfighting and the thread gets deleted. And yet those posters never seem to get deleted.

The thread reappeared with a note from MNHQ asking posters to let it go and get back on topic. The second post within minutes of it going back up reopened the whole you said/no I didn't/have a bun.

I've clearly missed something - can someone link to this other thread?
