Sorry for another trans thread and I feel this is a bit of an imposition given I don't post really.

Anyway reading FWR over the past few months has re-radicalised me. I've been reading lots here and wider.

Anyway just now been watching TV and there's been some stuff that's given me the rage but didn't seem to fit in existing threads or it's own thread.

On BBC3 program on transgemder teen's the doctor just said "creating a vagina". Are doctors redefining vagina as pocket rather than a passage? Makes me want to screem.

I assume the latter. The world is large, and at some point, somewhere, it is probable that at least one woman was violent towards a transwoman, even if she only slapped them.

I know I've missed the boat a bit, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that the high murder rate stats thrown around for transwomen are because they're based on figures from Brazil where a lot of men transition rather than come out as gay - iirc trans hate crime is high there because it's also gay hate crime.

Either way, it's significantly inflated compared to the UK, and doesn't take other risk factors (race, sex workers etc) into consideration
