Gender Identity Specialists warn of “ever increasing tide” of Transwoman Sex Offenders

The British Association of Gender Identity Specialists have agreed with radfems about the transgender movement attracting sexual predators. They claim to have dealt with an increasing number of incarcerated sexual predators who they believe to be pretend transexuals who wish to transition to gain special privileges and access vulnerable women. They are also worried that they have lost the right to not treat individuals who they believe are not really transgender or who will pose a threat once transitioned.

The relevant excerpt of their testimony to the parliamentary committee looking into the GRA is here at Gender Trender and the whole testimony can be found as a PDF here and makes for interesting reading.

Please ignore my last post - wrong thread

I know Gender Trender is not very sympathetic to trans people so is it possible to verify any other this on other sites aside from Gender Trender, please?

jennyorangeberry · 19/09/2015 23:14

Both reports are available on the evidence list on the Government's transgender enquiry website. I'm not sure how they can be more verified than that.

Ah thank you. I am taking a look, thanks.

here

TRA0113 and TRA0149.

Very helpful. I do find the internet baffling at times and it is really helpful when people can point in the right direction.

jennyorangeberry · 20/09/2015 00:57

Also worth looking at TRA0198.

The Prison Reform Trust supports prisoners' domestic violence and sexual assault support groups being able to exclude trans women.

Gallus at Gender Trender isn't sympathetic towards trans women but she never lies, she doesn't have to. A large part of her content is taken directly from main stream media, trans, 'feminist' and feminist websites, youtube and social media. In many cases Gallus does not even need to comment - the lunacy of the situation is clear for itself. Her articles are well researched and include sources. She's human so not perfect so on the very odd occasion that she makes a mistake it will be pointed out in the comments section and the mistake will be corrected.

I think trans people should also be worried about the importance of this news items.

Those who are in prison may end up sharing a cell with someone who has 'faked' being trans for their own benefit and gains at the expense of another. It also brings up questions that many in the community (by that I mean the world) both trans and non-trans may want to know about.

I wanted to check the credentials because sometimes it is easy with the Internet not to know where things are from.

I also feel that negative news items about trans 'issues' should not be buried. I am not pro or anti trans, I am trying to work out a fair way for us all to coexist, and this is only in my own head!

I find it exhausting and often want to not engage, but that is rather cowardly. After reading all this last night I could not sleep for hours.

I feel those of us who just want to coexist are at the mercy of the lunatics on both ends of the spectrum, those who want to crush trans people and those who want to crush anyone who is not like them - and those who just want to keep women down (which sometimes includes women!)

How does anyone else organise all this in their mind so they do not end up seeing any other 'group' as the enemy? This is a genuine question because I don't want to lose my humanity in the extreme cases.

Italian, the first panel has Dr Bernadette Wren speaking in it. You could read that transcript. She talks about the variety of issues trans people have, about how treatment often means therapy not surgery, and about how female born people are presenting with dysphoria in a society that is unaccepting of female bodies.

The humanity is that all of the peoplewho are strident about this stuff on all sides of the debate are struggling in a gender system. I think if I was 20 now and had grown up in porn culture, I'd be non binary and presenting with dysphoria.

Thanks jenny.
