We're running at about six weeks per pub at the moment! So if you want chat with a feminist flavour, or with fellow feminists, or just want to admire our patriarchy blaster cannon and goat - welcome!

I need a drink too. A large one. And another one.

I am feeling very worried this evening, and in need of a shoulder to cry on. I will be more proactive and ready for solutions later. Right now, I just want to let it all out.

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 30/07/2015 20:20

You can cry on us, alex Flowers

UptoapointLordCopper · 30/07/2015 20:22

Thanks. I have just had a glass of wine, much needed. I think I will have another one.

TheLily1957 · 30/07/2015 20:33

Re benefits and prostitution I think you may have a point there stormy I cancelled my membership when Amnesty first mooted this I was so furious. What kind of a world are we living in when society sanctions the selling of a womens body? Words fail me.

EBearhug · 30/07/2015 20:37

This had dropped off My Discussions.. I should be doing the washing up...

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 30/07/2015 21:56

Can I moan for a bit? I just attempted to go out for dinner with DH. He spent the meal checking his work emails, took 2 work-related calls, and then headed home to take a conference call leaving me to pay the bill. Tell me I'm not being unreasonable to feel a bit peeved.

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 30/07/2015 22:00

Not unreasonable at all Harry! Is he normally like that?

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 30/07/2015 22:11

No, not normally. He's just unusually busy at work at the moment. But if I'd known he'd be dealing with work the whole time I'd have stayed at home. Hmm

I've hardly seen him at all this week - 2 nights he got home after I went to bed. It is a bit disappointing given the DC are away...

ErrolTheDragon · 30/07/2015 22:41

Harry, sounds like he's got his priorities a bit warped - sometimes work can make us focus on the urgent(as it seems then) and leave no time for what's really important.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/07/2015 22:50

My gripe of the week - happened to actually look at my NT membership card ( they only used to make families produce one but now they want to see all adults'). Mrs Hisinitials Surname. Whereas dh's is Dr Hisname Surname. Wtf - I know the nt is all about preserving history etc but that seems to be taking it a bit far. If they don't actually have my name (which is possible) then surely they could have just put Mrs surname?

EBearhug · 31/07/2015 00:05

I'd send my card back and get them to replace it. (I did that with my bank card, and it now has no title. Although apparently I can't have a whole bank account with no title, so I still get any letters addressed to Ms E Bearhug.

StormyBrid · 31/07/2015 07:26

I've been going through the process of getting free loft insulation recently. The company doing the work have my title on their records as Ms. But when they texted a reminder about an upcoming survey, they referred to me as Mrs. Not impressed.

I phoned up to cancel the fucking milk delivery and they wanted to know if I was Miss or Mrs. Told them that it was none of their business...

What is this all about, eh?

StormyBrid · 31/07/2015 09:02

On the plus side, landlord just sent consent form re insulation to me to pass on to the relevant people. Handwritten name and address on the envelope, she's gone for Ms. Although now I come to think of it that may be her making assumptions because she knows it's just me and my daughter here. Still better than being called Mrs though!

MsDragons · 31/07/2015 09:20

I'm having a new kitchen fitted and they keep referring to us as Mr and Mrs myname. I can't decide whether to be upset about being Mrs or happy that they've chosen my name as the default.

This time next week I'll be married Grin , but I'm keeping my name as Ms Myname.

UptoapointLordCopper · 31/07/2015 09:44

I won't change my name to anything if I'm called "Dragons". Grin

MsDragons · 31/07/2015 09:55

I'd love that to be my real name, but unfortunately my name is not that cool Sad

UptoapointLordCopper · 31/07/2015 14:03

Of course it's cool. It's yours.

Hovis2001 · 31/07/2015 19:55

When I added my DH to the bank account that I had had since birth, they stopped sending me bank statements and started sending them addressed solely to him. Angry

I went in and mentioned this and the bank teller looked shocked. Next month we got two statements - one address to DH solely, and one to Mr and Mrs. I gave up at that point!

SweetAndFullOfGrace · 31/07/2015 20:09

I would change banks at that point Hovis, and tweet about why!
