Awesome, I was just thinking we would need a new one!

AKnickerfulOfMenace · 16/03/2015 23:28

What colour shall we do the walls?

EBearhug · 16/03/2015 23:37

A nice spring colour. Primrose yellow. And a bit of purple and green for contrast.

We can change it soon enough if it doesn't look good.

AKnickerfulOfMenace · 16/03/2015 23:41

Sounds good and a nice change from dark wood and candlelight Grin

EBearhug · 16/03/2015 23:51

That reminds me, I went home at Christmas one year, back when you were still allowed to smoke inside.

I went to the pub, as a load of us who had been at school together were going. At some point, the radiator somehow got broken, and there was hot water shooting up to the ceiling from the pipe.

It washed the ceiling. It was vile.

That's why everything used to have to be dark colours.

kickassangel · 17/03/2015 01:03

not sure about the colors - a bit bright for me. I prefer the grey fug of smoke-encrusted grime.

Also now longing for a pint of english cider and some pork scratchings.

Buffy - I enjoyed it, but with tongue firmly in cheek.

PetulaGordino · 17/03/2015 06:46

Thanks for the new pub

I can remember when the smoking ban came in and suddenly you could smell all the things that used to be covered up by smoke - stale beer in the carpets, sweat etc. (Still better than coming home stinking of smoke though)

SoMuchForSubtlety · 17/03/2015 06:46

Ooh lovely new pub.

OublietteBravo · 17/03/2015 07:27

Yay - a new pub

Morning all!

I like the new pub. Well done Puffins.

UptoapointLordCopper · 17/03/2015 08:44

I remember being pregnant and not drinking and smelling all the nasty smells in the pubs...

GibberingFlapdoodle · 17/03/2015 09:33

Hi all. Reserving my spot at the bar... Love the new colour! No pink, naturally.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/03/2015 09:42

Yo

The bluestocking threads are usually six million posts long by the time i see them, so feel like i'm gatecrashing. But i'm comfortable doing so at only 15 posts in Grin

AKnickerfulOfMenace · 17/03/2015 10:06

Hiya beyond!

PuffinsAreFictitious · 17/03/2015 10:06

Just jump in whenever Beyond. Just make sure you give the goat a cuddle, or a scratch behind the ears.

Hello!

Hmm. Is that goat definitely feminist?

Buffy Why are you bouncing off the wall? What are you on? Give me some of it. I need to write more bollocks but haven't got the verve for it.

CollatalieSisters · 17/03/2015 10:22

Definitely spring in your step Buffy - goes nicely with the decor!

AKnickerfulOfMenace · 17/03/2015 10:31

Boings with Buffy. Dunno why Smile

Perhaps we could decorate like this, if we're all feeling boingy and springy?

Annie - where is this wonderous place! Can you imagine a 5 year-old's birthday party in there!
