Does this mean I get to kick someone?

FibonacciSeries · 23/01/2015 16:23

Hello! I've been MIA because I'm job hunting and it's hard work.

Now off to teach a fitness class...who told me to say yes to a Friday evening class? It will be me and one or two poor souls who will bitterly regret being there.

long live Yonic!! Scourge of the celery! Grin

AnnieLobeseder · 23/01/2015 16:26

Anyhoo, back to "proper feminism"

I am not a social creature, and have never particularly sought out the company of women. Well, I've never really sought out the company of anyone, but when I do socialise, it has always tended to be in mixed groups.

Well, the past couple of weeks while I've been an unemployed layabout, I've gone along to some lunches that the local mums have, taking turns at everyone's house. And it has just been so amazing to get together with a group of women, have a great chat about everything any nothing, about the real lives of women. I feel like a void I didn't know I had has been filled and I am quite determined to make sure I find a new group of women when we move.

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 17:03

Aw, Annie, that's fab!

You are having cake at these meetings, not celery, I hope?

Grin
AnnieLobeseder · 23/01/2015 17:15

Last week there was profiterole cheesecake. This week there was coconut tart and vienetta ice-cream. No celery!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 23/01/2015 17:46

I made eton mess cheesecake a few weeks ago. Was delicious (if I do say so myself).

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 17:56

I introduced DS to banofee the other day. He loved it!

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/01/2015 18:59

I love profiteroles. Such a long name for such a small thing!

Cheesecake. Hmm. Can take or leave.

Banofee. So-so.

I have a craving for victoria sponge. I have baked many thing but never a victoria sponge.

I love the nattering about everything and nothing. I sometimes have that with colleagues while drinking tea. But most of my mum-friends (??) have got jobs now and don't do pick-ups and drop-offs while I still do.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 23/01/2015 19:13

No cake for me for a while. Have to reduce my fat ass by about half Grin

AnnieLobeseder · 23/01/2015 19:16

Eton mess - yummy!
Banoffee - yuk
Victoria sponge - boring and a dreadful waste of cake calories

I too am reducing my fat ass, but am on SW so a calculated amount of coconut tart and cheesecake are allowed.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 23/01/2015 19:20

I am 5:2ing it for a few weeks, just to remind my fat ass that it really can lose tonnage if it tries harder. Then SW, so can eat cake then.

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 19:25

Annie, where did your weight loss thread go?

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 23/01/2015 19:44

Supposed to be running 4.5 miles tomorrow, which clearly justified me pillaging DS's stockpile of Christmas chocolate just now.

Dragonlette · 23/01/2015 19:46

Ooh, cake Grin I can join in with a cake appreciation discussionGrin I love cheesecake, and any sort of gateaux. Victoria sponge is better than nothing but not my favourite. I'm doing SW too, I need to get myself slimmer before I get married in the summer.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 23/01/2015 19:54

So, hiya?

Can anyone come to this here pub then? Do you do Fake Russians?

EElisavetaofJingleBellsornia · 23/01/2015 20:05

Evening Lonny - how about a warm milk tasting of wood smoke?

Eton Mess cheesecake hoppy, please tell me more?

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 23/01/2015 20:10

Mein blumchen! I have been neglecting you and the lambs, will pop over to kids fic momentarily. Smashing to see you

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 20:41

Chalet School?

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 23/01/2015 21:08

Yy Yonic it's amazing who you bump into when you're having a quiet pint. Me and Eelisaveta went to school together. Wink

YonicScrewdriver · 23/01/2015 21:26

St Briavel's or Innsbruck?

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 23/01/2015 21:37

Well we met in Innsbruck but Veta's schooldays were cut short when she went home to be a Princess, bet she doesn't talk about that round here much I myself then had to flee the Nazis for a bit, but eventually managed to finish my schooling in St Briavels. Are you an old girl Yonic? We have a common room over in children's books...
