A list of the sex acts banned today in the UK porn industry.

Spanking

Caning

Aggressive whipping

Penetration by any object "associated with violence"

Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)

Urolagnia (known as "water sports")

Female ejaculation

Strangulation

Facesitting

Fisting

A link to the article in The Independent which explains more.

The newspaper claims that the "measures seem to take aim at female pleasure" and that they're "arbitrary" choices to make....I'm not sure what part of the list other than female ejaculation is synonymous with female pleasure though!

The writer is scathing about the bans.

Although veiwers in the UK will be able to continue to watch pornography including the above, it will no longer be legal to make such films here.

When I first read the OP I thought it was a joke.

Having read the subsequent linked articles I now realise that I know absolutely nothing... Blush

Maybe it's a bit like horse racing amethyst, a 3 lash rule perhaps?

Grin Grays. Poor horses Sad

There's nothing on the BBFC website about this, perhaps unsurprisingly.

I really don't understand the problem with face sitting. Danger of suffocation, perhaps.

SevenZarkSeven · 02/12/2014 21:56

Having never seen niche face-sitting porn I can only imagine that what it means in this context is what it means to us? Given that the BDSM woman was talking about doing it with her clothes on. Which is most definitely not the way it gets done round here Grin

My only first orgasm from another person was through face sitting Blush now I feel all depraved

argh total coherence failure in that post.

I must have been distracted.

Face sitting is sitting on a man's face while he gives oral sex, right?

Argh now I feel like I don't even know how to do sex

SevenZarkSeven · 02/12/2014 22:03

The BDSM woman does it with her kit on.

And that's all I know Grin

I'm sure SGB will be along to enlighten us in a minute!

Maybe in this context it means actually sitting down really heavily on their heads.

So... we need someone with a partner who has watched porn, to say "come over here and I'll sit on your face" and see whether they look keenly frisky, or wince & back away.

GraysAnalogy · 02/12/2014 22:07

I'm going to ask DP if face sitting is a ban-worthy offence.

RufusTheReindeer · 02/12/2014 22:38

Someone elsewhere online was talking about a porn debate at Feminist Fightback a few years ago and saying 'they warned us that porn censorship would go after the LGBTQ and the woman-friendly/femdom porn first.'

Yes. I fucking did. Porn censorship is never about protecting women or promoting women's rights. It's always a diversion of some kind, an excuse for something else nasty, dressed up in 'protecting women and children' which the authorities t hink can be done by making a bit of a fuss about disgusting perverts and banning all the niche stuff produced by independents who haven't got the money or the comfort of a huge corporate structure behind them to fight long legal battles, they can then sneak in further controls and restrictions on civil liberties.

I totally disagree with this SGB. That's a typical type of response from lefty libertarian men who want to continue to feel okay about sexy times watching filmed prostitution. I'm far more worried about the effect on civil liberties of secret courts than of a ban on women being fisted on film.

And I've never seen anything good written by stavvers so I diubt I'd think differently about this one.

Of the three links criticising this, the first one is blocked by my software and the third is by Stavvers, a person with a history of making vile anti women remarks.

So the second one, from the New Statesman. It specifically says that insertion of objects associated with violence is about banning things to do with female pleasure.

I personally have never inserted an object associated with violence into an orifice of anyone of any gender, so I admit to a position of ignorance. But what is it about the physiology or psychology of women that would make this act something they would find more pleasurable than anyone else?

Without explanation, I am going to consider such a criticism to be sexist nonsense.

Flora i get where you are coming from and i dont like fisting but its not that i was talking about.

Its the undercurrent i dont like. The insinuation that female pleasure OR the female orgasm is something to be ashamed of Something to be hidden and taboo.
Its this undercurrent i dont like.

SGB, that "GirlOnetheNet" link is interesting.

I liked the art competition of what an orgasm looks like Smile
