...sat actions from a table of four men discussing paying for sex. I couldn't believe my ears at first, wasn't really listening and then it became clear.
Finished with, "the only time I paid for It is the day I got married".

OP posts:
Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:15

buw

No.

HTH

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:16

No we mean the fucking NEWS HEADLINES you idiot!

Try the BBC.

For christ's sake.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:17

"theendoftheendoftheend Mon 15-Sep-14 22:09:48

Its because they are there under duress Buw, they believe they are unable to escape, no one can help them, and if they do both they and any loved ones in their native countries will be made to pay the price by the people that 'own' them.
Do you really not know this?
They are too scared"

Dutch police interrogated 157 women in a similar operation and not one admitted to being trafficked.

So if they really are trafficked what do you propose will help them?

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:17

I know that those might be the sorts of sights that you are used to referring to when backing up your arguments, but if you try just a bit harder, you will definitely find some better ones.

Stop wasting time here - get searching boy!

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:17

Why are we even engaging with a man who thinks it is OK to talk about having sex with prostitutes, in explicit detail, on public transport?

I mean, FFS.

Go on hit us with some more of that CnP.

grimbletart · 15/09/2014 22:18

Funny isn't it? Stringing a few letters together that make a swear word is not approved of by buwegvove. But sitting on public transport broadcasting your sexual exploits, how much it costs you and likening your wife to a prostitute is perfectly acceptable. Hmmm. What a strange sense of what is and what isn't appropriate.

CaptChaos · 15/09/2014 22:18

They love it.
Cleaners don't like their jobs either.
RM is a liar.
OP pentameter.
If I pay them, it's consent.
It's between consenting adults.

There is never anything new. And it's all about male entitlement to women's bodies.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:18

Maybe you might understand better if I add more swear words?

So if they really are fucking trafficked what do you fucking propose will fucking help them?

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:18

So if they really are trafficked what do you propose will help them?

Not being interrogated by police would be a good start, don't you think?

Dear god, these men. We have to do all their thinking for them.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:20

"Not being interrogated by police would be a good start, don't you think?"

Feminsts who made claims of rampant trafficking were the ones who wanted those raids and interrogations. Not the sexworkers, not the pimps, not the punters, not everyday Jimmy. Feminists.

CaptChaos · 15/09/2014 22:20

Grimbletart, it's because they are utter cockwombles.

Calling someone a cunt is (to them) much worse than paying to have sex on a woman who doesn't want them to.

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:20

Why do you think that men talk about sleazy sex in public, buw?

Stop asking us silly questions and put your mind to the issue at hand!

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:23

It's dull isn't it.

"Oh look here are headlines for the last X years about organised gangs sexually exploiting girls in the UK for years and years".

"Nope don't care look at my cut n paste here I am THE MAN and I am right if I say it never happens then it never does BEHOLD more CnP".

So WTF are all these men going to prison for, hmm?

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 22:23

this thread is a classic example of if you are losing the argument, widen it. because basically no one's going to agree that boasting about prostitution on public transport is normal

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:23

Here are some more question - why do you not care that you come across as a sleazy idiot on a public forum? What are you getting out of positing these comments? What are you hoping to achieve? Do you have nothing more productive to do with your time than tell women they are wrong?

Yes like I said it is a problem that they are too fearful, I do not know the answer unfortunately. How do you reach someone who has been brainwashed, traumatised and abused especially when they can so easily 'disappear'?
I guess a good starting point would be to try and curtail new victims? For example, if people would stop using them for sex. You know, supply and demand...
However, I am aware how difficult people find it to accept when a behaviour they are indulging in is so despicable, so they will blindsight themselves or muddle their morals to suit. So I guess asking men to refrain from using other human beings as chattel really is a fruitless endeavour. Gosh, what a pickle.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:27

From The Feminist Guide To Online Debating:

"If losing an argument, call them utter cockwombles."

CaptChaos · 15/09/2014 22:28

Fuck! Sorry Buffy!

Also, the Nordic model kills women.

Except it doesn't. Not a single woman has died in Sweden due to being killed while working as a prostitute. The example punters come up with was killed as a result of DV. The fact that they see DV as the same as being prostituted is quite telling.

"all the problems women who sell sex face are the fault of feminists."

Advocateing raids on brothels IMO does in fact cause problems and complications for those the raids are supposedly trying to protect/rescue.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:29

*Advocating

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:29

We're not debating love. This isn't a debating society. It's a chat board for people with an interest in feminism. It says so at the top and everything.

And if we were a debating society, you lost as soon as you said it was AOK for groups of men to talk about their use of prostitutes in an explicit and offensive manner on public transport.

CaptChaos · 15/09/2014 22:30

Sadly buw, you messed up there, as you haven't called anyone an utter cockwomble.

There is no debate. Punters are sleazy. The ones on this train were super sleazy.
