...sat actions from a table of four men discussing paying for sex. I couldn't believe my ears at first, wasn't really listening and then it became clear.
Finished with, "the only time I paid for It is the day I got married".

OP posts:

"Read the fucking news why don't you. The UK news."

Got any links?

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 21:59

It is a chilling reminder that it was only 4 years ago that someone who had entered into a situation of exploitation willingly, but on false pretences, (i.e. on the basis of being offered a job as a chamber maid that never materialised) was considered not to be trafficked, as they had gone with their trafficker willingly.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:00

or should I say, got any fucking links?

KristinaM · 15/09/2014 22:03

Proposed human trafficking bill for Scotland

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:03

It's all a bit dull isn't it.

Waah waah I want to stick my dick wherever I like and intimidate/freak out women and children (and probably some men to be honest) on public transport by talking about my experiences sticking my dick wherever I like in explicit and derogatory terms. What's wrong with that?

Well if you don't know, you're very very strange and I don't even know what else. Disturbing? Is maybe a good word.

Your views are disturbing. You have no grasp of the difference between public/private, no grasp of normal social interaction and mores, and a disturbing lack of boundaries related to sex.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:03

"if the aim was to find perps/victims of trafficking it was a complete failure".

They weren't looking for victims, they were looking for traffickers.

How come they weren't able to find any? The raids were all unannounced. And how come if there were victims of trafficking present at the time they didn't take the opportunity to tell the police they needed rescued?

Doesn't like laydees swearing: check

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:06

If you can't get your point across without swearing then go ahead. I don't care.

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:07

Lol @ saying "I have cut and paste this" after it being predicted that many cut and paste arguments would abound! And using the word "source" because that makes it all official like.

And no I am not linking to any of the news articles around sexual exploitation in the UK because a. those stories have been all over the front pages for about the last 3 years or more and so you can't have missed them and b. because I don't want to link to anything containing harrowing stories knowing that you will then attempt to pick holes in them / question their credibility etc for fun.

Lots of people have gone to prison for said sexual exploitation, and hopefully many more will.

If you have missed that then you have living under a rock, quite frankly.

Thistledew · 15/09/2014 22:07

buw - why don't you go off and do some research for yourself, there's a poppet. There are plenty of sources on the internet that will answer those questions for you. They really are very basic. The internet is not just for porn, you know, you can learn all sorts of interesting things and broaden your tiny little mind.

Do you really think you are asking original questions that undermine the whole existence of the sexual exploitation industry? Ones that no-one else has ever thought of before?

Are you stupid?

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:08

Not unless he tells them to, Capt.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2014 22:09

Most of the news links at the moment would be about girls not being rescued from sexual exploitation. Sad

Thinks that if you swear then you can't be taken seriously : check.

These punterapists turn out to be puritans often, don't they. And boring.

theendoftheendoftheend · 15/09/2014 22:09

Its because they are there under duress Buw, they believe they are unable to escape, no one can help them, and if they do both they and any loved ones in their native countries will be made to pay the price by the people that 'own' them.
Do you really not know this?
They are too scared

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:11

So he doesn't like strangers swearing on a a forum aimed at adults, which has a self-selecting audience and is known to be very sweary,

but he is AOK with men talking in an explicit (obscene) fashion about their exploits with prostitutes, and talking about those women in the most derogatory terms, when literally anyone could be sitting within earshot.

What a massive fucking hypocrite.

True Errol.

It's one situation after another after another as well, feels like there's no end to it.

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:13

I reckon they have websites where they give the stuff to cut n paste.

It always is identikit isn't it.

PetulaGordino · 15/09/2014 22:14

do they learn it from their fathers do you think? passed down from generation to generation, and now armed with C&P

SevenZarkSeven · 15/09/2014 22:14

Do you reckon one will ever come on and say:

"I like paying for sex because I like being able to do whatever I like to someone who I don't have to treat as human. I do it because I like it. I couldn't give a fuck about whether they are happy/unhappy/coerced or anything."

That would be refreshing maybe.

buwegevove · 15/09/2014 22:14

" There are plenty of sources on the internet that will answer those questions for you. "

You mean the junk stats that come from very small studies with cherry-picked participants and then twisted to try and look represenative of the entire sex industry?
