Ha, when I was at uni studying sociology there was a book in the campus book shop called "Dead White Men and other important people". I still haven't read it.

Good news for those of you who, like me, are a man on Facebook to avoid being targeted by nasty sexist adverts. Facebook has finally rolled out the option to be various interesting gender options other than the male/female binary to the UK. I am now officially gender neutral!

Oh and look it has Cis-female as an option. DOes that mean I like pretty frocks and cupcakes? I love cupcakes, frocks not so much

And you still have to pick a gender. Why can't it be blank with "them" as a pronoun

Anyone who actually knows me and the three children I gave birth knows I am a woman, I just want to avoid being sold bullshit based on my vagina

I picked "gender neutral" with "them" as pronoun. And yes, also to avoid being told about how many pounds Jennifer Lawrence lost on the new fab diet, based on the fact that my ownership of a vagina must mean I am on a diet.

The worst part is when I posted about it the first response was "Ooh is this really bad, I think that sounds good! I could do with editing out some wrinkles and making myself look thinner!" Head. Desk.

I seem to just get adverts about whatever I was trying to buy. Now I get adverts for colanders. But I've already bought one from Ikea.
