Right, thought I'd better start a new pub. I warn you, my knowledge of Roman numerals conks out shortly after this one, so either buffy will have to start the next thread, or we'll have to go Arabic.

I'm in a limbo at the moment where I should be moving out of house shared with DH, and I have this odd feeling that I don't want to cook anything complicated as it feels as if I should be being more temporary than that. It's very strange. But, looking at that makes me fancy making bread.

I find it so disturbing that it's seen as 'just a game'.

Does she actually know what's in it? Or does she just assume (as I think people do) that it's some kind of game about cars with a bit of swearing?

Is biting magnums a blow against the patriarchy?

Well done Buffy. I am sorry you are so upset - it's a tough job speaking out against things that are regarded as normal - but it matters and I hope, maybe, if enough of us do, work.

It's a weird circular "begging the question" (in the real sense, not the misused sense) "logic" - everyone does it - so it is normal - so it must be ok - so everyone does it. Someone - many someones - have to go against the grain to challenge this
