Just to clarify that it was me who said 'Women are treated as inferior'.
And what I meant by that is 'Women are treated as inferior'. It did not need a 'some' as it is talking about women as a class, not every single individual. You can compound the inequality with race, income/class etc. but it was not relevant to my point.
Back to the OP, I keep popping to Twitter and the hashtag is still going strong...over 270 new tweets in the time it's taken to write this. From what I can see very little is trolling and every nasty comment has challengers. It's brilliant to see.
It's great to see so many men involved and so many women able to express and share their experience, worries and support.
That this has been such a big thing is really encouraging. A lot of the posts are sad or terrifying but the scale is somehow very comforting.
Feminism is becoming 'cool' and popular. Many people absolutely hate that but their arguments are few and being constantly challenged.
I'm feeling feministly-optimistic and that's a raaaaaare thing
