This thread started when we all decided to imagine what the perfect local for feminists would be like. So far, it has taps with plenty of good real ale, and some decent non-alcoholic alternatives too. There are comfy chairs and there's a feminist film night, as well as lots of nice feminist-friendly books on the shelves and space to curl up and read. The open-mic nights are attracting feminist singers and comedians, and we're just sorting out the feminist creche.

I remember the first time I got an email signed off, In Sisterhood. Felt a bit weird really.

I like female dominated spaces. That's why I like Mumsnet, and that's why I stayed at guides til I was 30 and I'm thinking of going back to it as well. I like men too, but I think on the whole I prefer female company a lot of the time.

I think I am 'in the sisterhood' in that I feel v supportive of women's causes and towards individual women and I hope the women I know in RL would welcome me as a kindred person, but I would never sign anything like that.
