Utterly ridiculous and the police give her an excuse - she was on medication!
I am appalled!

OP posts:

Women can have orgasms during rape, he did not want to have sex with her. She also forced him to give her oral sex when he couldn't perform again. A woman jumping on him may have stimulated him, but it doesnt mean he wanted it.

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2012 15:33

Hmm i don't know how it is at all possible for a woman to rape a man. Wouldn't the man have to be aroused ?

BigOldFanny · 28/08/2012 15:33

I hope the OP wasn't just stirring for the sake of it. If I had seen it I would have posted it, and it is something I would have posted on the fem board because I would expect a lot of people sayin oh he must have wanted it because she's beautiful etc in a general board.

Also men get random erections through out their day, if your dh got one in an all male office you would not assume he was gay. I don't they are particularly in charge of them Hmm

Vagaceratops · 28/08/2012 15:36

Without trivialising the incident, it does speak volumes that the Daily Mail had to go all the way to Romania to find a 'Woman rapes Man' story.

DuelingFanjo · 28/08/2012 15:36

I don't understand the points you are making BigOldFanny.

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2012 15:36

That is true BigOldFanny, you have made a valid point! If this woman raped him it could be possibe if he had a morning erection for example.
Some women are very strong so who knows

bonzo77 · 28/08/2012 15:38

definition of rape. Seems that in the UK victim has to be penetrated by a penis in any orafice, so men and women can be raped, but only men can be rapists. There is another offense of assault by penetration if something other than a penis is used.

But if a person forcibly gets a man to penetrate them with their penis it is not "rape". I am probably being very naive here, but I actually don't see how this scenario is physically possible. Can a man get an erection under these circumstances?

BigOldFanny · 28/08/2012 15:40

Some posters have claimed a man can't be raped as he would need an erection (so must have wanted it). Posts weren't directed at you df.

BigOldFanny · 28/08/2012 15:42

vagaceretops I think the story was picked up by the dm because it involves a beautiful woman.. and ha ha wouldn't we all like to be raped by a hotty etc.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 28/08/2012 15:42

It is perfectly psysiologically possible for a man to have an erection and even orgasm when utterly terrified. I am surprised so few adult women seem not to understand this.

DuelingFanjo · 28/08/2012 15:43

I think you are wrong there BiogOldFanny, as far as I can see no one else has mentioned an erection in that scenario apart from the person who has posted just before you.

People have however pointed out the law regarding rape in this country.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 28/08/2012 15:43

Gah, spelling!

solidgoldbrass · 28/08/2012 15:44

I think the Daily Fail ran the story in order to print a few pictures of Angelina Jolie as much as anything.

Do you apply the same logic to women who show physical signs of arousal during sexual assaults and rapes?

TiggyD · 28/08/2012 15:50

Regardless of whether it actually fits the definition of rape, it probably felt like rape to the person involved.

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2012 15:50

I do believe a man can be raped Stewie.
I don't agree with rape myths just never heard of a woman raping a man and was wondering how it could happen without am erect penis, but BigOldFanny made a valid point that a man of course has erections throughout the day therefore this story is most possibly true.
I think rape is intrusive and an absolutely horrific act of control

BigOldFanny · 28/08/2012 15:50

pumkinsweetie hmm i don't know how it is at all possible for a woman to rape a man. Wouldn't the man have to be aroused ? (which she took back)

Zhaghzhagh But how is it possible for PIV sex if a man is not interested/hasn't got a hard on?

TheCunningStunt · 28/08/2012 15:51

I am amazed at the "he got an erection so can it be rape" lot! Really??!!
Women can get turned on,but then say no to sex...but men can carry on anyway, this is rape. This situation is no different. His body had a physical reaction to something that his mind didn't want. Mind over matter does not always work.

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2012 15:52

I took it back as i am niave and it was a highly stupid thing for me to say.

TheCunningStunt · 28/08/2012 15:54

I find our rape laws amazing....old fashion for one! I am a lesbian, I know lesbians who have been raped by other women. It was not sexual assault. It was rape. It's time the law caught up.

pumpkinsweetie · 28/08/2012 15:56

Exactlly Stunning: the law is a disgrace and out of date.

bonzo77 · 28/08/2012 15:57

mayor I guess it's just my ignorance, based on my own (limited) experience, where men cannot get it up when feeling shy, nervous etc. I certainly don't apply the same logic to women. Women (and men) don't need any physical signs of arousal to be penetrated, logistics dictate that the perpetrator forces it. But a man has to have an erection to penetrate. I just didn't realise it would be physiologically possible to achieve or sustain this under force. So mayor, oldlady I apologise and stand corrected if I am wrong.
