There's an article about this in the Times today by Libby Purves, provoked by Lionel Shriver's portrayal of the boy in 'We need to talk about Kevin'

Just thought you'd like to know Smile

"Ttr-you are waning-
is it youre dick that has shrunk or youre male privaledge?"

Sparky,

Is "Ttr" meant to be me? If it is, you got the first and last letter correct. Give yourself a pat on the head. As for the rest of your question, it is about as intelligible as the post to Catmilk.
I'd suggest you contact your LEA for details of remedial English classes in your area.

I don't hate men.

I find them vaguely annoying.

I don't hate men either.

I still don't understand how come we are all man haters?

LRDTheFeministDragon · 12/06/2011 22:47

Tyr, could you knock off with the comments on Sparky's typing/grammar, please? It makes you look as if you don't have, you know, a real argument to make.

LRD,

Are you serious? Have a look at what was said to me? Are you going to ask others to refrain from those kind of remarks? If someone against whom I have said nothing decides to attack me, they can take whatever they get in return.
I have made my points and asked my questions. I haven't called anyone a "wanker" or told them to F off.

SybilBeddows · 12/06/2011 22:59

is Tyr still there? I've hit the ignore button on him.

LRDTheFeministDragon · 12/06/2011 23:00

Sure I'm serious - why would you think not? People calling you a wanker isn't bothering me in the slightest, but, being a touchy dyslexic woman, you attacking sparky's mode of writing instead of her argument does offend me. Make sense?

If "we" were going to hate men......

You presume a lot with that pronoun.

EldritchCleavage · 12/06/2011 23:05

Someone mention my name?

Seriously, Catmilk, I have been lurking and yours is the longest most drawn-out exit I've come across since I read The Duchess of Malfi at school.

I always swore I'd never do one of those MN slurpy brown-nose posts, but aliceliddell, you really make me laugh (in the best way).

LRDTheFeministDragon · 12/06/2011 23:05

'You presume a lot with that pronoun.'

Yeah, it's almost like she was talking to the women in the room and ignoring the men ... that never happens the other way round, does it?

sparky246 · 12/06/2011 23:09

yeeep tyr-i cant spell.[fuckin good obverasion]
but on the other hand-you can spell but you cant think.
my post to catmilk is is ok=and i hope she sees this.
im as angry as she is-but her anger is my anger and somewhere along the line she will understand this-maybe not now-but she hasnt given her anger here for nothing.[and i understand this]
naah-i dont have to go along t the lea-im actually doing ok without it.
in my life and sometimes on here[and elsewhere]im doing alright.
i understand this is all above you.
i suggest that you should go along to youre nearest badgemaker and get a badge saying"im a wanker"-

You being dyslexic doesn't bother me either. Being called a wanker doesn't bother me either. Sparky's "argument" (something about "youre male privaledge") was as funny as her spelling. Make sense?

LRDTheFeministDragon · 12/06/2011 23:12

You still think mocking someone's spelling is 'funny'? you know what, that's a heck of a lot more offensive than a few swer words yyou arrogant tosspot of a cuunt

Is Catmilk still here? I was looking forward to a response on the other thread you started in AIBU Catmilk (apart from the wannabe-Eastwood long goodbye) but I guess no response is a response, in a sense. Maybe you'll respond when you've had a chance to think about it.
