The best anti-porn evidence I've seen.

(Please watch with caution, some scenes are upsetting)

No, she didn't. It's no wonder you're getting in bother if you don't read things carefully.

Deliainthemaking · 09/04/2011 10:04

You couldn't claim that if you'd retyped a racial slander or a homophobic slander that you'd just got it a "bit wrong". People would rightly believe that you didn't have a problem with those kind of bigoted insults.

you're saying me quoting somebody else calling a woman a whore is on par with this. so yes you did dittany

And no I don't buy your "I was tired" - it was ten o'clock in the morning - why not just own what you did. People who don't have problems with calling women whres call women whres (and tw*ts for that matter)

^^ calling me a liar when I said I read it late at night and was tired.

if you're gonna slander people on a forum at least have the decency not to cowardly about it afterwards.

I quoted somebody else being misogynistic and the rest of my post was clearly not misogynistic.so you know fine well that was not the point I was making

I'm leaving this now, putting a few things straight.

but its not my point of view

do you not understand that!!!!!!!! I made that very clear

im clearly talking to a brick wall, I'm sure you'll find someone else to have a pop at soon.

karmakameleon · 09/04/2011 10:27

Delurking just to say

Delia, can you imagine calling someone a "P*ki" on the multicultural families section? And if you did could you imagine doing anything other than apologizing unreservedly, getting your post deleted and maybe even name changing to avoid the embarassment? Because that is the closest analogy to what you have here.

Deliainthemaking · 09/04/2011 13:54

I have aplogised several times

It wasn't my words

If you'd read my post i've stressed many times it was not my words why should I feel guilty for quoting someone elses term? I have seen people quote words that are offensive on here all the time. They are not accused of having that viewpoint its vindictive to do the same to me.

I apologise for any offence that word caused to anyone,
I didnt meant to offend just use it as a quote.

karmakameleon · 09/04/2011 17:12

The point is that if you'd called someone a "paki" you wouldn't even be trying to defend yourself whether you'd quoted someone else or not. You'd know you'd overstepped to mark and "I was tired" or "I didn't think" wouldn't cut it. Tbh you wouldn't even have used the word because you'd know it was rasict abuse and there are some words you just don't use so you wouldn't be in this mess. Similar logic for "whore".

So... iw athced this documentary waiting to be shocked and outraged... and I was surprised - that I wasn;t shocked and outraged.

I re read this thread (apart from the arguments between posters) and couldn;t really understand.

My overriding feeling when watching the documentary was nothing to do with the sexual acts but that all of it - her behaviour and his behaviour were led purely by money. Thats why she went along with it all - money. Quick, easy money.

I felt it was made clear to her that she would be pushed beyond her boundaries and that she kept agreeing to acts then saying she didn;lt really want to do them.

I did not pity her - she bugged me. Like as if she didnlt really understand what was going on despite seeing it around her and being told....

Also, I think the way men have been treated on this forum is despicable.

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 21:32

Also.

These people are making films. Fantasy films.

I don;t see people writing in to CSI and Murder she wrote complaining about the abuse the vitims got in this film and how sick it is that they could want to portray it etc.

As for her not having a choice - all i got from the film (between the dubious 'missing father' footage) was that she made a career choice to become a model then seeked out the agent guy.

As a woman, i am getting sick of other women presuming that females in this industry and being used and all the men have the power. Many of the richest most powerful people in the industry are women and there are also men and boys being abused in the industry too.

And i agree - this thread is one of the most agressive thread i have ever seen. Real shame as i feel the OP started something that could have provoked real and interesting debate.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 09/04/2011 21:43

Hey Mumblecrumble, did you know that when they make CSI and Murder She Wrote they don't actually kill real people?

and that in porn real women get abused?

or did you think they were cleverly intercutting shots of actresses with CGI and animatronics showing the rapey bits?

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 21:53

Please don;t treat me like I am stupid just becasue I don;t agree. You might as well correct my speling.

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 21:54

Thats my point though - its fake. The females are acting. The sex is real not the abuse. How they are treated in the industry is a different issue but in the film they are not being abused it is acting abused.

MoChan · 09/04/2011 21:55

MumbleCrumble, I can't believe you would compare something like CSI to pornography.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 09/04/2011 21:56

I don't care about anyone's spelling, but if someone really can't work out why people don't tend to complain as much about violence on tv crime shows as in porn, they probably are a bit stupid.

ChristinedePizan · 09/04/2011 21:59

How have men been treated despicably on this forum? I don't understand that at all

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 21:59

I happen to feel the violence portrayed on CSI, most horror films etc was much worse than anything I saw, heard or heard described on that film.

I may be wrong - this is why I enjoy discussion forums (well, good threads, not the ones where people just get agressive.).

Though on the other hand I watch quite a lot of CSI and very little porn. But yes, i think they both serve to fulfill a need to see what we would never want to expereince in real life.

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 22:00

other porn i;ve heard/ seen has been much worse than on this documentary, hence why i was shocked at the description of this documentary.

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 22:01

necrophilia, beastiality, mutilation for example

ChristinedePizan · 09/04/2011 22:01

mumble - I think the reason a lot of people get off on porn is because they know it's really happening. Those cocks are really going into every single orifice, it's not fake.

toddlerwrangler · 09/04/2011 22:11

Mumblecrumble

Did you see the way that guy in the black t-shirt at the start of the documentary was looking at her?

Did you note the fact that the gangbang director couldn't even remember how many men the woman in the gang bang was expected to have sex with?
Did you see MH fold her over a chair and stick his penis in her within seconds of meeting her (I admit she didn't say 'no/stop', but it was plain she wasn't happy)?
Did you hear the dissapointment in the last porn directors voice when she said she wasn't prepared to be hit so hard in the film it would leave marks?

On what planet is the above not an issue?

I actually am very vocal that women should be able to enter the porn/sex industry if they wish. But not like this.

mumblecrumble · 09/04/2011 22:11

I repeat - the sex is real, not the abuse.

I am not stupid, that's the second time on this thread. Also, I think you'll find that there is a lot of complaining about violence on TV and video games.

Those vaginas are really going round those cocks as well but I bet you'd never think of phrasing it like that.

OK. Not CSI then. Boxing - I hate it, much more than I hate porn. is that a better example?
