What is the quickest way to heal a sore vagina??

So at the weekend had a very err active sex session… but I am sore! In the entrance to my vagina on one side I have a sore, I think probably like a friction burn? What is the quickest/best way to heal it?? I’m keeping it clean especially after I have been to the toilet but it hurts! Don’t really want to go to GP as I don’t think they can do much other than suggest something over the counter? I have sudocream, germolene, tea tree oil… any suggestions please??

If its internal as you say, then nothing. Don't put anything on it!

LaBellina · 12/01/2022 16:00

Leave it alone as much as possible.

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 16:00

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz it is literally only just at the entrance, not internal

Salt baths, drink plenty of fluids and rest.

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 16:02

What kind of salt do I need? Rock salt or Epsom salts??

Not exactly the same but after giving birth my midwife recommended having a daily bath with essential lavender oil in it as it has healing properties.

TolkiensFallow · 12/01/2022 16:08

Oh crikey, I always think salt is a great healer but also when I tore in child birth I put neat distilled witch Hazel on it and it helped. Pretty much every woman I know recommended it too.

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 16:14

Yes I used witch hazel after dc and kept it in the fridge and put it on a sanitary towel!

Badedas ! No idea what is in it that helps, Horse Chestnut maybe? But it helps!

TangoWhiskyAlphaTango · 12/01/2022 16:16

I slap Sudocrem on anything sore and it seems to work on most occasions.

Dozer · 12/01/2022 16:17

Not tea tree oil, ouch!

EBearhug · 12/01/2022 16:24

I had an abscess down there, and I was told to have twice daily salt baths for two weeks (along with antibiotics.) I was told table salt is fine.

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 12/01/2022 16:26

Yes to salt baths and then getting plenty of air to the area. So go knickerless at home.
Don't put anything on it.

Ordinary household salt is fine.
Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 16:38

There is an amazing spray called Spritz for Bitz they sell in Boots. It's for post birth healing and it's sort of numbing and cool. Recommend that x

doadeer · 12/01/2022 16:48

Air it

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 16:51

It’s hurting to wee now, wee is making it sting/hurt but I drink lots of water. Waiting for the bath to hurry up!

Cool black tea. Was recommended post piercing, does indeed help.

And don't put anything in it🤣🤣
Mrsjayy · 12/01/2022 17:05

Ordinary table salt is fine for salt baths that and sudocreame

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 17:07

@User48751490 nothing is going in it for sure, too sore!

Bearing in mind that was the weekend and today is Wednesday and today is the sorest it has been, at what point do you go to the doctor? The bit that hurts the most is like a sore, not warts or anything but a little sore and you can see the outline…..

OP posts:
Mrsjayy · 12/01/2022 17:11

It might be a blister and that's why it's still sore. I would try the salt baths 1 tonight another tomorrow ifit hasn't eased see if you can see your practice nurse.

Ouchmy · 12/01/2022 17:13

Yes @Mrsjayy I’m thinking more like an ulcer. I know I was completely clear as I have always had Sti checks with a new partner, he was in very long term relationship before but I guess I could have caught something??? I have never had an sti… I really hope it isn’t. How would I know the difference? Just by seeing the GP and getting tests??
