Hope you find this ladies!

OP posts:
Songbird · 12/10/2007 15:56

Damn right, I don?t know, call yourselves fans . My brother (the aforementioned non-believer!) has two boys 5.5 and 6.5 and they tried them with PS, but they kept asking where the pictures were

tigerschick · 12/10/2007 17:43

I wondered, briefly, if JKR would consider doing a 'watered down' version, for younger children... then I dismissed as a silly idea
If you are not old enough to appreciate it in all its glory then you'll just have to wait!

fawkeoff · 12/10/2007 17:50

BOM

rosmonster · 12/10/2007 18:05

She could do them as comics, Stephen King did something recently with a series of his books as well?!

tigerschick · 12/10/2007 19:07

That is the sort of thing I was thinking about ... well, maybe one day she will ...

MrsWeasley · 12/10/2007 21:57

oh I hope so but we should let her do the encyclopaedia first

tigerschick · 13/10/2007 10:06

Oh, of course ... wouldn't want to overload her

MrsWeasley · 13/10/2007 13:40

but then again we dont want her thinking we are done with her little Harry so maybe we should keep the pressure on a tad

Maybe I'll only send her 20 letters a day asking for more Harry instead of my usual 200

rosmonster · 13/10/2007 13:51

Well, if you think about it, she probably wouldn't be doing the comics, just overseeing it so she could do the encylopedia at the same time

tigerschick · 13/10/2007 14:25

Very good point, rosmonster!
If she can oversee the making of film whilst writing a novel then I'm sure she can oversee the making of a comic whilst writing an encyclopeadia!

MrsWeasley · 13/10/2007 18:00

so I can increase my letter writing then

I am of course only joking I wouldnt stalk the lovely lady or sent her lots of mail! >

rosmonster · 13/10/2007 18:05

MrsW, of course you wouldn't send her lots of post, but your children otoh...

MrsWeasley · 13/10/2007 18:06
Grin
tigerschick · 15/10/2007 09:12

See, if Eoin Colfer can do a 'graphic novel' of Artemis Fowl then I really don't see why JKR can't do one of Harry Potter ... hmm ...

rosmonster · 20/10/2007 14:35

Another thread here, apparently DD is gay

MrsWeasley · 20/10/2007 22:03

and Neville Longbottom married Hannah Abbott. Hannah became the new landlady of the Leaky Cauldron.

I LOVE HP

rosmonster · 29/10/2007 20:46

Is that right MrsW? Or have you branched out into writing your own HP again? (seems appropriate!)

PhoenixSoaring · 29/10/2007 20:53

had to post on this as the OP is a namesake of mine!

rosmonster · 01/11/2007 12:31

This just isn't fair, do you think we should ask her to give the other copies to us as we are the faithful ones

persephonesnape · 01/11/2007 12:50

looks like we'll just have to write them ourselves again..i hope they're nice and simple and people can read them to their five year olds though...

Songbat · 01/11/2007 13:51

I think these are bound to be released to the general public eventually, even if just on the web - she can't deny her millions of fans the tales of Beedle the Bard. How wonderful to have a hand-written copy though. Interesting to read the bit at the bottom about the HP Lexicon website content being published (or not, if she gets her way!)

[waves] Hello PhoenixSoaring, I used to be Songbird then changed my name in honour of HP! I ought to de-Halloween my ass now I suppose

tigerschick · 02/11/2007 15:13

I logged on to put a link to this but see that I'm too late Should have known that someone here would have beaten me to it

MrsWeasley · 02/11/2007 17:48

Rosmerta: of course its right, Would I lie about someting as important as Harry Potter?

For anyone interested the JK Rowling site has been updated here

Such a shame about the "special" books unless you are one of the "special" people in which case Plllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeeeeeee can I read it, I will wear gloves and not tell a living soul. oh and I promise not to dribble on it!

my hats gone

Songbat · 03/11/2007 09:27

Mrs W, where did you read that about Neville?

tigerschick · 03/11/2007 09:53

I was wondering that - where did you find that out ... JKR has done sooooo many interviews and she seems to drop little bits of info at each of them so it's hard to keep up!
