I'll start!
Enid Blyton, without a doubt. And still the author who instilled a love of reading, whose books I devoured, and have loved as much all over again reading them to my own children.

As an adult, I guess it's Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine.

Over to you...

witchmountain · 23/07/2018 22:52

Good question! As a child Enid Blyton and Roald Dahl.

As an adult, not so many where the author has been especially prolific, but authors where I’ve read a good proportion of what they’ve written, or sought out more of their writing, would include Roddy Doyle, Kate Atkinson, Sally Vickers, Elizabeth Strout, Margaret Atwood, Elizabeth Jane Howard. For non fiction Adam Phillips, Susie Orbach, Alison Bechdel, Joan Didion, Vivian Gornick, Elizabeth Gilbert, Diana Athill.

MotherofPearl · 23/07/2018 22:53

Another Blyton childhood here. Grin

As an adult I have devoured nearly all the novels of:

Barbara Pym
Elizabeth Jane Howard
Margaret Atwood
Ian McEwan

witchmountain · 23/07/2018 22:53
