I'll start!
Enid Blyton, without a doubt. And still the author who instilled a love of reading, whose books I devoured, and have loved as much all over again reading them to my own children.

As an adult, I guess it's Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine.

Over to you...

Stephen King for different books.

I've re-read Sue Townsend's books over and over. I've had to replace copies of the different Adrian Mole books because I've worn copies out. They're my comfort blank.

I've probably read more Barbara Cartland, though. Grin But I read and reread all the Heyer so she wins.

Pratchett would be a close second.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/07/2018 21:58

I think bill bryson is the only author where I've read everything he has written and have started rereading now!!

I think I've read all the David Nicholls books but not 100%. Have quite a few Nicci French. ...

bookmum08 · 23/07/2018 21:59

I went through a historical saga phase a few years ago so I read all the Lyn Andrews, Katie Flynn, Maureen Lee, Lilian Harry, Annie Murrey, Annie Groves etc books. Oddly though not Catherine Cookson who was one of the main authors for that genre. I then switched to crime /lawyer stuff so John Grisham, James Patterson etc.
I basically have to keep lists of their books and cross them off as I read because often as soon as you finish the book it is often then easily forgotten.
Infact I have just gone back to Saga fiction so have a new list of new authors to read through. I'm quite excited by it.

practicallyperfectinmyway · 23/07/2018 22:05

Daphne du maurier
