obsessed with Harry P?

Is anyone else getting really excited (borderline obsessed)about he new HP book?
I have re-read all the other 6 and everytime I scan down active convos and see "Potty" I heart skips a beat or I hold my breath whilst my eyes focus!!

Please tell me it isn't only me and my DC that are counting the days (hours, minutes, seconds...)

What about the "Veil" in the Dept. of Mysteries. That was supposed to mean the end of Sirius, but what was it?
And what about mirrors? Wasn't there some talk about Sirius and James communicating through some mirror when they were at school? Perhaps the Mirror of Erised will make a re-appearance...

No the mirror was what he gave Harry to contact him, but he only remembered after he went thru the curtain, so it didn't work.
The curtain could be significant, but all the adults did seem to think that it was definately the end of him.
I was so gutted when they killed him off like that, but I also think there is some reason that he died like that.

Yes. But there seem to be a number of different levels of existence / reality. Note - Dumbledore is definitely dead because when McGonagall goes to his study, there's a new picture on the wall with Dumbledore in it. Plus there are ghosts in the castle. And remember the ghosts of Cedric Diggory, and Harry's Mum and Dad divert Voldemort for long enough for him to grab the portkey to get back to the TriWizard tournament at the end of book 4. I wonder whether Sirius is in some other reality...

That mirror can be handy, but only Harry knows how it works so he can use it against V, only trouble is DD moved it and now he's dead.

DrD, good point. Perhaps Harry will talk to DD's portrait, they are supposed to be able to. After all that one HM goes between the study and 12 Grimauld place.
Can't think how Sirius can reappear, but maybe he can, perhaps that's where the mirror comes in.
You could speculate forever.
I hope it's not an anti climax when we finally find out.

I like the theory of Snape as HP's dad...Very good. There's also this persistent suggestion that James Potter is..well...a bit of an arsehole quite frankly.

Oh Pudding please don't post anything you know is goingto be true cos I'm loving this thread, but really, really don't want to actually know what's going to happen before the book comes out
