Is anyone else getting really excited (borderline obsessed)about he new HP book?
I have re-read all the other 6 and everytime I scan down active convos and see "Potty" I heart skips a beat or I hold my breath whilst my eyes focus!!

Please tell me it isn't only me and my DC that are counting the days (hours, minutes, seconds...)

I've been thinking

Harry, (or any part of him) can't be a horcrux

Ok, a few things we know:-

You must kill someone immediately before you create a horcrux

Voldemort is afraid of death and this is why he has horcruxes

When all the horcruxes are gone it will be possible to kill him

So, the chain of events was as follows:-

He killed James and Lily and then had the possibility to create one or even two new horcruxes

If he then made Harry or any part of him (the scar did not exist at this point) a horcrux, why would he then try the avada kedava on him which would then kill Harry and part of his own soul?

Once he cast the avada kedava, it rebounded back to him leaving him very weak and unable to cast anymore spells, so it was then too late to make the scar or Harry a horcrux

What do you think?

MrsWeasley · 08/06/2007 09:24

yeah that seems about right to me. Also if he made them after lily and james' death he wouldnt have the stength to hide it so when Harry goes to where it happened he made find someting! (something that DD missed)

BandofMothers · 08/06/2007 09:32

I think the theory was that Voldie was going to make a horcrux using Harry's death as it would be more potent as Harry was his arch enemy so to speak. But when Harry didn't die part of V's powers were transfered into Harry and DD even said a part of his soul was too, so it was speculated that he had accidentally created a horcrux in Harry by this transfer.

pudding77 · 08/06/2007 09:55

I don't think Harry is a horcrux, but I think there may be something at Godric's Hollow.

btw, 42d 14h 4m 27s to go!

Sunshinemummy · 08/06/2007 10:46

Sorry Broadband not working at home so can't post in the evenings either. Sky+ set up but still no DVD. But hands off Mr Malfoy - he is definitely mine!!!!!

pudding77 · 08/06/2007 10:49

hi sunshine, have you recently moved?

Sunshinemummy · 08/06/2007 10:54

Yes Pudding moved from Wapping to Earlsfield. Still in some chaos, although Sky+/HD/Multi Room was set up the day we moved in.

pudding77 · 08/06/2007 10:55

Sounds familiar, my dh made sure Sky+ & broadband was set up the day after we moved! And yet, 6 months later, we've still got unpacked boxes!

Sunshinemummy · 08/06/2007 11:07

Broadband has been set up but isn't working properly, DVD player is still packed and we've got loads and loads to still do (need do to a major cull). Unfortunately we moved in and DP went on a stag do the following weekend and then was away for a week in Sweden with work so we've not done anywhere near as much as we should have.

MrsWeasley · 08/06/2007 11:20

we moved three years ago and still have some boxes unpacked awaiting extention etc and the list of jobs to do as soon as we moved in still havent been done begining to wish I'd never moved now!

pudding77 · 08/06/2007 11:25

MrsWeasley · 08/06/2007 11:26
