Is anyone else getting really excited (borderline obsessed)about he new HP book?
I have re-read all the other 6 and everytime I scan down active convos and see "Potty" I heart skips a beat or I hold my breath whilst my eyes focus!!

Please tell me it isn't only me and my DC that are counting the days (hours, minutes, seconds...)

Aren't they a bit old?
I'm ducking in and out while cooking.

seamonster · 07/06/2007 16:38

although saying that I quite like Mr Malfoy.

Sunshinemummy · 07/06/2007 16:39

Mmm yes Mr Malfoy fan here too. He was lush in The State Within.

seamonster · 07/06/2007 16:42

oh my...

Sunshinemummy · 07/06/2007 16:44

Really want to go home and watch the films but just moved house and DVD player not yet unpacked.

seamonster · 07/06/2007 17:14

surely not!
in our house dp would have made sure tv,sky,x-box and cd-player were the first things out.

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 17:21

seamonster: yeah my DH too. in fact recently the washing machine wasnt working properly. weeks later its still the same but the TV sound went and he sorted that the same day.

In response to your comment about them being too old. Well heck no, its sex appeal that counts. anyway they are not too old for me.

Of course!
isn't mr malfoy older?

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 17:31

but he is EVIL

OP posts:
seamonster · 07/06/2007 17:34

yes but there isn't a great deal to chose from in the film versions really. You just have to take what you can.
Krum?

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 17:38

I know but I'd rather take hagrid than malfoy! Good will win

pudding77 · 07/06/2007 18:19

Apparently Oliver Wood was a bit of a heartthrob as well, but definitely for the younger girls!

Anyway, I like older men

btw, can I just point out, I leave everyone comes back

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 18:45

lol pudding,

I usually go for the smart well dressed man about town but not where the HP men are concerned:
my 3 faves are Lupin, Sirius and hagrid ( yes I know but I do like Hagrid) It's not even the actors I like ifs deffo the characters, I like the more rugged, wild man

If I was younger (a lot younger) it would have to be Daniel Radcliffe.

kate100 · 07/06/2007 18:59

Well, in the films it's Mr Malfoy all the way for me, but in the books I'm defintely a Sirius girl, I don't think Gary Oldman is sexy enough to be Sirius, but Jason Isaacs....... I think I need a little lie down now

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 19:03

LOL

OP posts:
seamonster · 07/06/2007 19:11

Kate100, my thoughts entirely. As an actor Gary Oldman is great, but he just isn't Sirius.
Although now you mention Oliver Woods, yes, he was ok. for a kid.
I wonder what we'll make of Bill and Charlie?
Mrs Weasley, over to you I think

BandofMothers · 07/06/2007 19:11

I agree about Sirius in the books. Was gutted when she killed him off. But Jason Isaacs, YUM, and Oliver Wood was lurvely in the film, esp the scottish accent. Isn't it awful when you see a youngster like him and fancy him and then remember you are way to old to be thinking those thoughts
Makes me feel so old when that happens and I'm only 30[humpf]

seamonster · 07/06/2007 19:14

I know, I'm 31 and think we are woefully misrepresented age wise when it comes to the male characters in the films.

BandofMothers · 07/06/2007 19:14

Bill is supposed to be good looking. One of my best friends says he was shortlisted for Charlie in the 3rd and 4th films, but then told he wouldn't be in the films. Not sure he's essential for the plot of them so he was cut.
Bill is imp in 6 tho.

I love Oldman as Sirius, just not looks wise. Tho he isn't bad.

BandofMothers · 07/06/2007 19:16

I always rather fancied Lupin in the books too and was very disappointed with the film version as not good looking enough. Think we went over all this way down the thread, no??

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 19:18

oh yes i had forgotten them. Now Bill has long hair and a fang earring.

OP posts:
BandofMothers · 07/06/2007 19:18

seamonster, you mean you don't fancy Snape.

I miss Harris as DD. I hate the way Gamdon(??) ties his beard in the middle, and he just isn't soft spoken or twinkly eyed enough for me.

Blandmum · 07/06/2007 19:26

Mr Malfoy is mine I tell you! And I will hex anyone who comes in my way!!!!!!!

MrsWeasley · 07/06/2007 19:26

bandofmothers: Yes I miss him too, he was perfect as DD.

as for the Potter men talk: well we are all re-reading or have re-read the books and its still another 43 days & 32 minutes until book 7
