Time and Cacofonix The girl on the computer might be email or she might be surfing the net but to do either her computer needs to be .......?

it's incredibly obvious when you get it. It's also probably not a book any of us have read.

I too am flummoxed by Amsterdam, Definitely here, The Ferry, The Life Preserver and the music.

Aimtomisbehave · 09/11/2017 12:51

Can anybody give a clue for the Corvus Street one?
I can't get the life preserver either!
Or Amsterdam, Or Fluffy, Or Orchard.
If so hard!!
Times suggestion of the Costa shortlist should give you Definitely Here.
The Ferry - if you search for a book set in the destination you'll find a treasured classic children's book

Report
Cacofonix · 09/11/2017 12:52

google corvus and find its common name

Report
Cacofonix · 09/11/2017 12:53

life preserver: find synonyms for the word in the ring and a synonym for life preserver. It is a well known book.

Report
Aimtomisbehave · 09/11/2017 12:56

Got Corvus! That's been bugging be for ages thanks!
I think my problem is I can't think of any other words for life preserves. Sigh. Hopefully something will come to me later.

Aimto Re-read the earlier comments on this thread that will give you the RIP fluffy one. and it should give you Orchard too.

Cacofonix · 09/11/2017 13:01

No luck with the girl or amsterdam yet. Brain stuck!

Report
Aimtomisbehave · 09/11/2017 13:04

the girl one: you need a synonym 'for being on the internet'
then it's very literal!
