GoT theories - Spoilers

Started this off the back of the chat thread, where we didn't want to disclose spoilers for those that have only watched the series.

What do you think happens?

Poor Jon Snow. Stabbed... to death? I think so, but Melisandra is at the wall. he'll be brought back. His vows to the watch ended since he died. I have a sneaky feeling he will be on the Iron throne due to his parentage.
(Rhaegar and Ned Starks sister (can't remember her name)

I really see Dany going the way of Mad King Aerys. I think someone will put an end to her the way Jaime did Aerys, possibly Tyrion. There is a lot of indication of the bond between the 2 brothers, i think both of them will be "kingslayers"

A big 'un - Eddard Stark, is he dead? I've heard theories that a faceless one took his place. Varys seems to be in control of a lot more than he appears (and he appears to be in control of a lot) I have a sneaking suspicion that these theories are right and he and Arya will meet up.

I think Jon Snow is a warg and will exist in Ghost.

I also think that Jon is the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar.

I also liked Cat but agree she was awful to Jon, but he is proof that her husband was unfaithful to her (at least that is what she thinks!)

Rickon was being taken to White Harbour, can't remember their name but the big fat bastard guy... begins with W.... can't remember the name, are loyal bannerman to the Starks and are only pretending to like the Freys.
They intend to rescue Rickon.

Dunno, Bran could ride a horse with this special saddle that Tyrion (adding weight to my Tyrion dragon rider theory) designed, so I don't see why he couldn't ride a dragon.

Does Rickon have the strongest claim to the throne in the North? OH GOD JUST THOUGHT what if ends up in cahoots with Ramsey Bolton? If he falls into the Frey's hands that would end so badly, the only moral guidance Rickon has ever had is a direwolf

Theon is a good name, I like it. Doesn't sound too made up, just a cross between Theo and Leon.
I would have Asha and Bran or even Jaime, which is probably due a revival.

Apparently there are quite a few "khalessi"'s knocking about in the US!

Jaime is totally on my boy name list, I love Theon but I hate the character so much I couldn't inflict it on a child :D ...Khaleesi is just too far! I also love Catelyn, but people with pronounce it Cate-lyn and that would annoy me too much... I also met a girl once called Varys, spelt the same but pronounced Vah-reece lol. I didn't tell her she had the same name as bald eunuch(sp?).

Brienne definitely can't be dead. I refuse it.

I like the theory that the twins are actually Rhaegar's (was it Rhaegar? A Talgaeryan anyway) children because he was in love with their mother. It entertains me to think that Tyrion was actually Tywin's only child.

I've just finished DwD, and have googled plot theories - I missed so much, including some really obvious stuff which I must have missed while reading half asleep in bed.

I get irrationally annoyed about the khaleesi thing, I know people think they are naming their daughters after a strong powerful woman, which is good, but it just means wife of a horse lord, most horse lords share their wives with their khalisar, and their horses. It's just not something I would want for my daughter.

It was driving me mad where I had seem the actor who played Robb before...then it hit me...he was in "birdsong" which also starred Joseph mawle who played benjen stark!

Oh and frankly I don't care what happens to anyone as long as Ramsey Bolton gets the worst and most protracted death of all - I don't want the details, I just need to know that it's horribly traumatic and takes years.

I haven't seen it Badvoc, is it any good ?
He was also in Sirens, with the phone jacker bloke.

I liked it, but I enjoyed the book too.
It's a bit heavy in parts (and very sad) but I thought it was a great piece of tv making.
And Joseph mawle acted everyone else off the screen (as usual)

Ooh this thread is great timing for me - I've just finished the last book and have serious withdrawal symptoms. I just can't accept Jon Snow is dead and after the other character resurrections, I'm hoping for the best. However, after reading that Cat (boo hiss) was still around, I did get a bit concerned that Rob was going to reappear, Anubis styley, with his sewn on Wolf's head. Thanking goodness that hasn't happened (so far)....

Loving all the theories, especially about Jon's parentage and I'm sure I got the impression Brienne was still alive.
