GoT theories - Spoilers

Started this off the back of the chat thread, where we didn't want to disclose spoilers for those that have only watched the series.

What do you think happens?

Poor Jon Snow. Stabbed... to death? I think so, but Melisandra is at the wall. he'll be brought back. His vows to the watch ended since he died. I have a sneaky feeling he will be on the Iron throne due to his parentage.
(Rhaegar and Ned Starks sister (can't remember her name)

I really see Dany going the way of Mad King Aerys. I think someone will put an end to her the way Jaime did Aerys, possibly Tyrion. There is a lot of indication of the bond between the 2 brothers, i think both of them will be "kingslayers"

A big 'un - Eddard Stark, is he dead? I've heard theories that a faceless one took his place. Varys seems to be in control of a lot more than he appears (and he appears to be in control of a lot) I have a sneaking suspicion that these theories are right and he and Arya will meet up.

Awesome thread, but it makes me realise I really need to reread A Dance With Dragons as I am struggling to remember a lot of it...!

I think Jaime will be the one to kill Cersei... no idea why or how, but she is so convinced that Tyrion is going to be the valonqar (younger brother) who kills her.

I'm not convinced that Aegon is the real Aegon but I kinda want him to be. I love the Targs and would like to see them back on the Throne.

I don't believe Jon Snow is dead, he has much more story ahead of him, but I like the idea that actually he does die from his wounds (they sure went to town on him!) and that Melisandre brings him back!

it would make sense if he died Misery, as then he would be released from the Black Watch.

Interesting one about Jaime, think you could be right. I think it would be fitting as well.

Who do you all want to see end up on the Iron throne?

I am a sucker for that Jon and Dany theory, despite it meaning incest, haha! In Cersei's prophecy it's said a 'younger more beautiful queen' will cast her down, and a lot of people take that to be Margaery Tyrell, but it would be awesome for it to be Dany!

TBH, i think it will be Jon in the end, I don't think Dany will make it.

I'd love to see Tyrion on the throne, although I've always had a soft spot for Jamie despite his incest and throwing small children from high windows.

I'm scared that I like Jon too much, which means he will surely die. And I want Jamie to end up with Brienne.
That's about all I can remember. Will need to re-read before the next one is out >in ten years time

Cat is an awful character. Absolutely awful. Cannot find one redeeming quality in her. Perhaps because of how she treated Jon though!

I don't hate Cat, I think she just made poor decisions in certain situations, like most of the Stark family to be honest. Though her behaviour to Jon was vile I love her as Lady Stoneheart, way more interesting, haha.

How is it possible to prefer Joff to Cat?!

Meg I wanted them to fall in love too! In the show there were tiny glimmers of hope for them, which I thought was nice. But in the books... not so much.
Littlefinger is just gross, worrying how that storyline is going to end up... though he did get rid of Lysa for us so I guess he isn't all bad
