Am just finishing The good man Jesus and the scoundrel Christ by Phillip Pullman. Easy to read and very interesting.
What books have other people got their noses in at the moment?

I am reading You by Joanna Briscoe... it is haunting...

I've just finished One Day by David Nicholls and really enjoyed it. It's the first book I've read very fast but at the same time I didn't want to finish it cos the story was going to end. Now I am bookless and need a recommendation. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, there is a thread on Adult Fiction on this book.

Koolmami, I just read One day too! I haven't read this thread but before one j really enjoyed both Sister and Afterwards, sorry can't remember author's name but they're both current and were really gripping.

I've just finished One Day. Haven't seen the film yet but the book was really good. Characters were really believable and plenty of funny moments and sad moments. Easy to read and easy to get in to.
