First off, I know there's a dedicated area in big/slim/whatever but I'm after traffic as it's a bit quiet in the WW section. Second, I know that 5:2 and low carb are popular on MN but neither of them suit me whereas I've lost weight with WW in the fairly distant past and regained due to unrelated issues which I'll leave out for now. I'm sure there are plenty of opinions on why it doesn't work but for me it does.

Just wondering if anyone is thinking of signing up and would like a support thread over on the WW board. I have at least 4st to lose and would appreciate it. I can't go to meetings as they don't fit in with work, so will be doing it online (half price on the website at the moment and Top Cashback give a few quid back). Anyone in?

Well done on the losses this week. I lost 5lbs but previous week was a gain of 4lbs!!! I was very disappointed with my gain as it was totally undeserved - I have been tracking, weighing and measuring, but I stuck with it despite feeling demotivated, as I have already come too far to let an undeserved gain set me off track.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 27/01/2017 21:29

Nice work on the losses !
My turn tomorrow .
My friend has discovered toaster pockets with banana and spoon of honey - 5 points Grin

Hi is it too late to join the thread? I have 13kg to lose and have started doing ww online and struggle to find time to go to meetings. This looks like such a motivational thread - please can I join? Well done to everyone who's lost so far! I'm at 80.5kg this week. Xx

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/01/2017 18:14

Never too late !
2 off for me so that's 4.5lbs off my 7lbs winter gain.

KinkyAfro · 28/01/2017 20:41

Well done sez and ken

Devilishpyjamas · 28/01/2017 21:18

I have just joined online. Exploring the app. Am 12 stone & have 2 stone to lose.

Devilishpyjamas · 29/01/2017 10:34

I'm a bit confused. If I have a cup of tea do I score as tea bag plus milk? (Then the same for say porridge, porridge plus milk?)

I think it will work for me as my main problem is snacking and this will force me to swap shite for fruit :)

Yrias · 29/01/2017 10:48

I'd like to join please! I'm a new mum. Arthur is 11 weeks now so I'm trying to lose all the weight I gained in four years TTC! Start: 13st 7.5 Current: 13st 6 Goal 10st 7 for now, but I may adjust!Smile

KenDoddsDadsDog · 29/01/2017 12:40

Devilish - you can just give yourself a daily milk allowance . I have very strong tea and a splash on porridge so 1/4 pint plenty for me. My friends that use a lot measure theirs into a sealable cup and when it's gone it's gone .
No count gives you 1/2 pint skimmed per day.

Devilishpyjamas · 29/01/2017 12:47

Ah okay - I think I have scored myself too high for today. A quarter would prob be my total but I have scored a half.

I may drink a bit more green tea though (I drink a lot of tea!)

Thanks - that's really helpful.

poorpaws · 29/01/2017 23:53

Well after messing about for 2 weeks I decided to really go for it this week! I've lost 5 1/2 lbs yay!! Shame I celebrated with too much chocolate, ah well back to it tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone this week.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/01/2017 06:46

Go on paws that's bloody brilliant !!!

Yrias · 30/01/2017 09:10

Amazing poorpaws!

poorpaws · 30/01/2017 22:44

Thanks Ken and Yrias. I've actually kept up the good work today.

How is everyone doing? This thread has slowed down a lot and it's still January. We all need to be doing this together now because it's not long to summer and summer dresses 😱

Yrias · 31/01/2017 07:20

Poorpaws, I've got weigh-in on Wednesday so I'll know then. In the meantime I'm trying to get into actually cooking meals from recipes, something I'm usually far too lazy to do and end up having the same dull stuff for the 100000th time! Last night made a yummy casserole in the slow cooker, got the recipe from the WW app.

bakewelltarte · 31/01/2017 11:01

What do you have for breakfast? When it's warm I like 179g Total 0% with 15g peanut butter and blueberries for 5 points but when it's cold that doesn't appeal! Any ideas that aren't porridge? X

bakewelltarte · 31/01/2017 11:02

Meant 170g yogurt

KinkyAfro · 31/01/2017 11:28

My breakfasts are all no count - porridge & banana/ crumpets & eggs/ omelette/ poached eggs on toast/ bacon & eggs/ shredded wheat with hot milk

namechangedtoday15 · 31/01/2017 11:36

Hi, I've had 3 weigh ins now - -3lb, -0.5lb and -0.5lb. Bit soul destroying when you know you've stuck to plan and all you lose is half a pound! Trying to be completely 100% but have already had chinese takeaway for Chinese New Year (so blew weeklies in one go) and have been 2 or 3 points over my 30 every day this week. Hey ho.

For breakfasts - the bagel thins are quite good (4sp) with 1 laughing cow light (1sp). The Aldi cereal bars (chocolate & fudge) are 2sp. I've also made savoury muffins (eggs/ham/mushroom) which work out about 4sp (I usually take breakfast to work) so good for travelling.

IcaMorgan · 31/01/2017 12:21

Haven't posted for a bit as lost the thread.

I have now lost a total of 17lbs since beg Nov. Due to starting online before the meetings they only have me at 13lbs so should get my 1 st certificate this week

Strangely I find the weeks I use my weeklies (mainly on alcohol) I lose more than if I stick to dailys only

Miffytastic · 31/01/2017 13:15

I've had a bit of a wayward few days - not tracking, not eating rubbish but drinking lovely booze and not counting. Couldn't get to meeting last night but according to my home WI I'd only lost 0.5 lbs from last week. Vowing to count more. I wish the WW app had reminders to track in it, might have to set a phone alarm or two.

poorpaws · 31/01/2017 23:14

When it rains all day I eat, when it rains I eat chocolate. When it rains all day I get soaked and grumpy on the dog walk. When it rains I can't face housework or exercise. It's rained all day today. It rains an awful lot where I live. ☔️🌧 ☂️☹️

KinkyAfro · 02/02/2017 19:48

2 lbs off this week, that 6.5 in 2 weeks. Happy with that. All NC and all weeklies

KenDoddsDadsDog · 02/02/2017 22:21

Half off tonight which is my punishment for a big Sunday lunch and apple pie . 5 off the 7 I've gained , then I'll be chuffed with anouther half stone following that .

bakewelltarte · 03/02/2017 08:20

Poorpaws I am the same! There's been an awful lot of rain here this week and I have got freezing cold walking my baby around outside (he only naps in the day if we're on the move in the pushchair...) so although I get a lot of fit points - those were rapidly lost by guzzling giant choc buttons - not hopeful for weigh in tomorrow but going to stick to plan today and hope for the best! Congrats to everyone who's lost this week x
