First off, I know there's a dedicated area in big/slim/whatever but I'm after traffic as it's a bit quiet in the WW section. Second, I know that 5:2 and low carb are popular on MN but neither of them suit me whereas I've lost weight with WW in the fairly distant past and regained due to unrelated issues which I'll leave out for now. I'm sure there are plenty of opinions on why it doesn't work but for me it does.

Just wondering if anyone is thinking of signing up and would like a support thread over on the WW board. I have at least 4st to lose and would appreciate it. I can't go to meetings as they don't fit in with work, so will be doing it online (half price on the website at the moment and Top Cashback give a few quid back). Anyone in?

Went out for dinner tonight, my friend chose Cafe Rouge. It was really hard to find points for it so just picked a chicken salad which was quite nice. Was starving when I got home though so had a slice of ham wrapped round a babybel 😀.

Anyone on WW connect?

Miffytastic · 10/01/2017 22:34

Ah nice to be remembered Paws :) - let's get intmthat second stone zone!

Giraffe - I do look at connect sometimes but find all the pictures a bit much and don't stay long enough to make friend's IYKWIM, I much prefer it here

namechangedtoday15 · 10/01/2017 23:01

thehoundschicken this is the recipe jar. It was quite a lot of prep but I made up 2 at the same time. It needed a little more flavouring (I might add some Chinese Five Spice next time) and it took about 10-15 mins for the noodles to soften. Was a good transportable lunch - that was low in points and not a salad Smile

Ofalltheginjoints · 11/01/2017 12:35

First weigh in (at home) after a difficult week health wise but lost 3.5lbs Smile

Happy with that

namechangedtoday15 · 11/01/2017 13:20

Thats great. Well done, I will be over the moon if I get the same result on SAturday !

thehoundschicken · 12/01/2017 00:55

Thank you for the recipe! Defo one to try for work. My weigh in today fingers crossed

thehoundschicken · 12/01/2017 18:44

Well 1st weigh in today only 2lb off but it's all good right direction! No social events so hopefully do better next week.

namechangedtoday15 · 12/01/2017 21:37

Well done Smile

Ofalltheginjoints · 13/01/2017 00:49

Well done thehoundschicken! I think social events are really hard to deal with especially as a lot of them revolve around food, alcohol or both, even with the weekly points.

Does anyone have the eating out smart points guide? I've had problems with weight watchers sign up (took 4 provisional hold amounts on my account but no membership) I'm going out to chaopayra thai restaurant in a week and they don't list their nutritional information, any recommendations for a moderate points meal would be greatly appreciated

Emochild · 13/01/2017 21:35

2nd weigh in

2lb loss

I do need to get better at eating during the day though -had nothing to eat today until 6pm
No time for breakfast this morning due to not realising it snowed so ended up in a massive rush snow was gone by lunch very disappointing lunch I had an emergency to deal with so didn't get chance

Home at 6pm and I've eaten crap -in points crap but still crap

poorpaws · 14/01/2017 00:10

Well done Emo that's a good loss for a second weigh-in.

I've FAILED big time today. I've been fed up so eaten a ton of chocolate, no excuses I just pigged out 🐷. I'm wondering if I will ever do this, it's only the second week and I've messed up. 🙁

Emochild · 14/01/2017 07:01

poorpaws everyone has tough days

(Puts teacher voice on)

Remember failing is the first step on the learning journey Grin

-seriously the reason we are on this thread is because we all need to learn how to manage our emotional eating. I bet all of us could talk for ages about healthy eating and calories etc -yet we are still overweight

This thread is for support when we have crappy days

What was it that made you hit the chocolate?

chuchiface · 14/01/2017 11:28

Hi, can I join please? I joined WW end of October and have lost about 16 lb and only another 6 to go but seem to be lacking in willpower at the moment. This is probably because I am quite happy at this weight but I need some wiggle room so a bit more would be good.
Thanks for the instant noodle recipe link - I was looking for this earlier today but couldn't find it!

namechangedtoday15 · 14/01/2017 14:33

3lbs off this morning. Very pleased. Got my mojo for another good week hopefully Smile

Emochild · 14/01/2017 16:35

Congratulations Star

GiGiraffe · 14/01/2017 21:21

Good job on all the losses.

Poorpaws don't kick yourself. It's the 20/80 rule. If you can stick with it 80% of the time, you'll succeed. It's just one day, draw a line under it and see how you feel tomorrow Flowers

poorpaws · 15/01/2017 00:29

Emo I don't know what went wrong yesterday but I just felt really fed up. Today has been worse! I had a fall today (slipped on a muddy slope) and hurt my shoulder. I think I went into shock and slept all afternoon, woke up hungry and just hit the chocolate again. It's always chocolate with me and I still have loads left from Christmas. I'll try again tomorrow but I'm dreading weigh-in.

So pleased everyone else is dong well, keep it up and I hope to catch up with you all soon. Well done namechanged that's brilliant.

Emochild · 15/01/2017 13:48

Oh my god

A sausage bean a cheese pasty is 17 points

17!!!!!!

That will teach me to mindlessly pick something whilst I'm out shopping

I knew it wouldn't be good 17???

Salad for tea then

JenniferYellowHat1980 · 15/01/2017 16:38

Hi all. Sorry to have disappeared. I was doing really well the first week then ruined all my efforts on a night out and a difficult week at work. However, onwards and upwards. I'm not letting myself off that easily.

poorpaws · 15/01/2017 20:39

I gained three quarters of a pound, which although bad, considering what I ate for two days could have been much worse.

Deep breath ...

And start again.

Good lesson learned hey Emo you won't do that again.

Good luck to everyone at weighin, I'm looking forward to reading your losses.

poorpaws · 15/01/2017 22:48

Oh heck I've just found I'm going out for lunch tomorrow and one of my favourite places, that's going to be hard.

Emochild · 15/01/2017 23:44

At least your meal out is the day after weigh in so you've got the rest of the week to be on plan

peanutbutter2409 · 16/01/2017 00:21

Hi all! 2nd weigh in & 4lb loss this morning taking me to 7lbs so far. Loads to go but I'm glad it's shifting as I was worried about breast feeding and all my points but it seems to be working thankfully!

lauryloo · 16/01/2017 10:45

3.5 off in my 1st week. I'm happy enough as I had a few blips :)

Just need to keep at it now

Miffytastic · 16/01/2017 20:48

Bah only half a pound off. I have been snacking on nuts a bit too often and had non slimline tonic with my gins this weekend so that may be why. I am going to increase the exercise this week and get some low point snacks (fruit I suppose, any other suggestions?)
