First off, I know there's a dedicated area in big/slim/whatever but I'm after traffic as it's a bit quiet in the WW section. Second, I know that 5:2 and low carb are popular on MN but neither of them suit me whereas I've lost weight with WW in the fairly distant past and regained due to unrelated issues which I'll leave out for now. I'm sure there are plenty of opinions on why it doesn't work but for me it does.

Just wondering if anyone is thinking of signing up and would like a support thread over on the WW board. I have at least 4st to lose and would appreciate it. I can't go to meetings as they don't fit in with work, so will be doing it online (half price on the website at the moment and Top Cashback give a few quid back). Anyone in?

Hi there. May I join you all please? I'm a ww gold member. My goal weight is 11 stone. I joined 2 weeks ago at 11 stone 8lbs. Last week I'd lost 2lb and found the plan really easy to stick to. This week I've had a cold and my period, been out for a meal with the girls and drinking and had a lot of cake..... so i am a little worried about weight in on Wednesday.

I've always done the no count before. This is my first time pointing things up so it's entirely possible I am under estimating points of things. I like it best when I can scan things into the ap and it tells me the points so I've been having lots of ready meals then adding lots of veg.

I've done a Les Mills class most days alternating between body balance and body pump. How many points would you track for a 60 minute class and do you use them?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/03/2017 20:21

I don't eat my activity points , mine transfer through my fit bit. Would say an hours class is at least 7 or 8 points .
I've self sabotaged this weekend . First time I've ever done it on Ww.

Miffytastic · 06/03/2017 14:21

Ken - you're doing ace, well done.

Hello new folk ::waves::

I've not been around much as I've been rubbish. Didn't even go to WI last week as I'd been out for a work thing in a lovely hotel where it was all fancy biscuits with every teabreak, and a nice meal, cake, wine etc and I gave up pointing that weekeend. Haven't been so bad this week but utterly failed to point. I despair of myself... and of ever wearing my nice dungarees again! Going to get weighed tonight so will report back

busyboysmum · 06/03/2017 14:43

Good luck Miffy - it's soo sooooo hard to stay on track.

I'm going to Portugal on 1st April and in January was going to have got to goal for it. 1st March comes round and I have 6lb to go still. I started around 11stone 12lbs in January so some has come off but it is very slow progress.

whereisthesunshine · 06/03/2017 18:38

Keep going everone!

Went a bit off track this weekend so have wiped all my weekly points and will be extra good for the rest of the week. Going ok so far:

B: none, milk allowance for the day
L: chicken with salad, small amount of potato salad
S: a flapjack
D: beefburger and green beans, banana for pudding

5 points left in case I fancy something later.

busyboysmum · 08/03/2017 12:31

Weighed in this lunchtime and am 11 stone 4lb - so another 2lb off. Really chuffed as am finding the plan really easy to follow. Am eating lots of healthy food and even went for a meal out with the girls and drinks this week plus had a cold and my period so did a bit of comfort eating.

whereisthesunshine · 10/03/2017 06:32

Weighed in this morning, down to 91.5kg from 91.9kg. I had hoped for staying the same, given my blowout at the weekend and two occasions at work where I had to eat the catered food on offer and couldn't bring my own meal, so an almost 1lb loss is not too bad I guess.

Marmitelover55 · 10/03/2017 21:45

Haven't checked in for a while but really happy that I have lost 15 pounds since Jan 5th. I'm now 10.3 and would like to loose another stone (at least). I'm feeling so much better but have found the loss has slowed down a bit now. Well done every one.

CiderwithBuda · 13/03/2017 09:38

Hi. I've just joined WW (again!) and am starting today but going to first meeting tomorrow.

Weighed in at 16st 3 this morning. My heaviest ever was 17st 3 last time I joined WW and I got down to 14 st 10. Weight has gradually gone up and down since with attempts at SW, low carb, Herbalife, etc etc. But I know the most successful I've been has been with WW although it was 5 years ago.

Need to read up on change from Pro Points to Smart Points. I have 32 daily and 42 weekly.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 13/03/2017 20:10

Didn't weigh last week , I went to Cork with work and at ALL the food !

busyboysmum · 13/03/2017 21:26

I've had a disastrous weekend and put on the 2lb I lost last week. I've only got tomorrow left to repair the damage...... help!

twinmummy25 · 14/03/2017 20:16

ciderwithbubba you'll be absolutely fine, although the number of points has changed going over to smartpoints, the basics are still the same. Good luck with it!

busyboysmum · 15/03/2017 14:04

OK well weighed in this lunchtime and stayed the same which I am delighted about given that on Monday I'd put 2lbs on over the weekend. Back on track. Have had a ready meal with additional veg for lunch for 10 points and am planning on being extra good in the week to maybe counter balance the terrible weekends I have. Do you think this would work? Or do you lose the rest of the 30 points if you don't eat them in one day?

RupertsMum2 · 15/03/2017 22:50

Can I join you please? I have been doing the low carb bootcamp which I had some success with a year or so ago but have come to a standstill. I joined WW online on Monday and so far all going well. I'm hoping to lose 4.5 stone of baby weight. He's 10 now so it's about time!

Donteatthekidssweets · 16/03/2017 06:59

I joined WW 3 week ago and have lost 2.5lb over two weigh ins, not a lot but quite good for me, especially as I'm loving the food and can see this as sustainable. I've tried everything to date but WW, wish I'd done this before now. Can I join you all? Been reading the thread from the beginning.

Donteatthekidssweets · 16/03/2017 07:02

Busy boy - I think I'm doing the same - putting on a couple of lbs over the weekend so having to be extra good Monday and Tuesday. However this weekend I'm going to try harder/meal plan etc.

busyboysmum · 16/03/2017 07:05

Yes me too. Plus maybe an extra exercise class on Sunday. That seems to deaden my raging appetite.

I pigged out when I got home after weigh in last night. Back on plan today. Best of luck everyone.

CiderwithBuda · 16/03/2017 08:53

Twinmummy- thanks. I'm sure I'll get my head around it!

Went to meeting on Tuesday and have downloaded the app and am tracking every day. Love the barcode scanner!

Didn't have a great day on Tuesday as seemed to be hungry all day and snacked a lot and ended up eating a crap dinner followed three chocolate digestives! But at least it was Tuesday and I can make up for it by next Tuesday's weigh in.

Better day yesterday. Sneaky home weigh in looks good.

Donteatthekidssweets · 16/03/2017 08:54

I run Sundays, somehow I think this doesn't help, either I retain water or I'm just more hungry !

twinmummy25 · 17/03/2017 22:06

Running makes me hungry too! I have to be so careful otherwise I keep telling myself 'it's ok to eat that you've run today!'.....that'll easily be my weeklies gone. Running is great for getting those legs toned though so it's all worth it in the end Halo

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/03/2017 15:47

2lbs off this morning . Getting back into a routine after my pizza / takeaway / Guinness fortnight .

ProseccoMadeMeDoIt · 18/03/2017 17:39

Can I join you girls? I joined a group this morning, I'm the fattest I've ever been and have 3.5 stone to lose 😣. I'very been doing Slimming World with no luck, I think I'm more suited to WW, the portion control is better for me.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/03/2017 22:59

Hello Prosecco , I can't do SW or No Count as I can't control my portions !
Hope you'll do well on WW.

Miffytastic · 21/03/2017 14:26

Hiya, well I lost 2 lbs last week, nothing this week but stayed the same so that's not all bad. Things are feeling a wee bit looser now so that's good. The dungarees are about 5 lbs away I reckon!
I've not eaten chocolate for 3 weeks now O_O

Welcome Prosecco!

CiderwithBuda · 21/03/2017 16:23

Hi. My week went from bad to worse. Gave up completely by Friday. Blush. Not good in week one!

However. I lost a pound! Can't quite believe it.

I think tracking all the time made me obsessed and I was constantly thinking about food. So I'm going to try No Count with an emphasis on protein and veg. Carbs as a garnish! Not the main part of the meal.

Also need to find another coping mechanism for feeling stressed - I currently eat crap and drink too much.

Today is start of a new week. We will gloss over the cream cake I had at lunchtime. Especially as I scanned the barcode to discover it was 22 points!!! After I'd eaten it of course! Explains a lot though. A little bit of this and a cake here and half a bottle of wine there followed by a packet of crisps etc etc is what got me here!

No more!
