I've done WW before but went to meetings and did ProPoints. I've just signed up to online with Smart Points/No Count and there is a frustrating lack of information Confused

Can anyone tell me if potatoes and sweet potatoes are free on No Count? The only list I can find suggests all fruit and veg are (apart from avocados) but doesn't seem complete.

Thanks in advance!

And i have just worked out that if I can lose 2 pounds a week between now and Christmas then I will lose 2 more stones .

Which would be amazing .

ICJump · 18/09/2016 09:51

I just did a bit of maths inspired by Howlongtillbedtime and if I can average 1.2 kilos I'll be under a 100 kilos by Christmas. That thought is pretty exciting.
Although I'm not sure how realistic that is but maybe it's a good idea to set a high goal so I have to work at it.

Howlongtillbedtime · 19/09/2016 06:36

Well that will teach me not to weigh every day . Today is one week on and I have lost 6 pounds not 8 .

I will take that and hopefully it will stop me jumping on the scales every day .

Good luck to all the Monday weighers !

Aquasport · 19/09/2016 12:39

Howlong 6 pounds was what I was secretly hoping for first week!

Feeling a bit downhearted today, no noticeable diff and went 5 points over weeklies at weekend. Still today is a new day and I'm hoping to get 50 active points by weigh in day on Thursday so hopefully that might make a diff!

LMGTFY · 19/09/2016 13:43

I'm checking in even though I screwed up big style. Day 1. Again. Well done on all the losses.

Oscha · 19/09/2016 21:32

I've got my weigh in tomorrow and this week I haven't eaten any fitness points so I hope I get a good loss. I've earned 123 which doesn't seem like that many given they're all just from walking and not from intentional exercise!

LMGTFY · 20/09/2016 09:29

Wow oscha 123 fit points! Think I got 5 unless you count stumbling back from a friend's house rather drunk! Hope WI goes ok, I'm officially 2lb off which I am pleased with.

Aquasport · 20/09/2016 09:52

Good luck with weigh is oscha!

Oscha · 20/09/2016 13:36

They seem to give them out automatically for every day walking-it used to be that you had to do proper exercise to get them and walking only counted over a certain amount-possibly around 5 or 6k?

Lost 5lbs which is nice after not losing anything last week! So that's 11lbs in 3 weeks.

LMGTFY · 20/09/2016 13:41

I take it you're using a fitness tracker? Sounds like the normal walking shouldn't be counted for you to have an effect based on your amazing loss this week - well done!

Aquasport · 20/09/2016 15:41

Well done oscha what a great loss!

I read somewhere that fit points only count after first 3000 steps so anything above that you are "earning" iyswim

I am contemplating getting a fit bit tracker (one you attach to bra/belt looks good) has anyone got one and would recommend?

Howlongtillbedtime · 21/09/2016 07:11

Well done Oscha ! Fab loss .

I have a fitbit one which I wear in my bra aqua and it does really help to keep me motivated . You can compete with other people on line which if that's your thing can keep you on track as well .

I really like using mine .

Sairelou · 21/09/2016 10:39

4lb loss in my first week, I'm rather chuffed with that! And I went over by 19 points! Smile

LMGTFY · 21/09/2016 10:55

Well done saire, brilliant loss. I'm feeling motivated at the mo but it all goes wrong after Thurs night, it's being at home and snacking that is my weakness. I'd like to see me stay on track and have a better loss next week.

Aquasport · 21/09/2016 17:49

Well done on the 4lb loss! I'm reaLly struggling today - weigh in tomorrow Sad

Aquasport · 22/09/2016 10:22

Measly half off today. Feeling v downhearted.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/09/2016 13:53

Aquasport , a loss is still a loss !

You are still lighter than you were a couple of weeks ago and that has got to be a good thing .

Aquasport · 22/09/2016 19:33

Thanks and true, I did go over by about 25 points BUT I've earned 50 fit points doing classes at gym. I do feel a bit lighter I suppose.

Oscha · 22/09/2016 21:50

I have a Fitbit and the points seem to start coming in right from the beginning-maybe it's a glitch?! At any rate, I'm not eating them now so basically just ignoring them.

Well done saire and aqua! Maybe if you've done quite a lot at the gym you've turned fat to muscle?

Good morning all , how is everyone coping with the weekend ? I am struggling a bit , have def had too many points so I am back to reign myself in .

I need to get out of the treat myself with food and booze mindset . There is nothing "treat" about my scales going up again .

Good luck everyone .

coursedarlin · 25/09/2016 08:33

So pleased to see this thread this morning. I was following slimming world but was having such pathetic losses and spending a fortune for the social aspect of the group so I decided to give this a go. I used to do propoints and found it really easy but smartpoints seems more complicated.
I've been testing the system for the last few weeks and getting away with it but I've restarted today after struggling to fit in some clothes in next. I have been fatter than this before but I feel disgusting now and could cry looking in the mirror. I need to realise that the only person I'm cheating is me and I think the best thing I can do is to count points. If I knew how to control my portions I never would have gotten to this size! I manage to put 6lbs on in one week away.

Good luck to everyone

CateGory8 · 25/09/2016 18:47

I'm pleased I've found you all. I lost 6 stone on ProPoints back in 2003 and managed to keep the weight off until this year. I now need to lose 4.5 stone (28Kg's) and I'm hoping to drop 2 stone by Christmas.

So far I've lost 20lbs but I can't see the results yet. I can't wait until I can fit into my clothes properly again.

Weigh in tomorrow.

Aquasport · 25/09/2016 19:55

I've failed this weekend - really let myself down but tomorrow is a new day - just going to have to sort myself out, take the pain of a gain on Thursday and keep ok carrying on

Howlongtillbedtime · 25/09/2016 19:59

Me too aqua . Thursday is a long way off , you can bring it back by then .

Oscha · 25/09/2016 20:02

I've changed my weigh in day from Tuesday to Monday (I weigh myself at Boots and can no longer get there on a Tues), so this week I've actually had all my weeklies in 6 days instead of 7...not sure how that's going to affect the scales tomorrow!
