I've done WW before but went to meetings and did ProPoints. I've just signed up to online with Smart Points/No Count and there is a frustrating lack of information Confused

Can anyone tell me if potatoes and sweet potatoes are free on No Count? The only list I can find suggests all fruit and veg are (apart from avocados) but doesn't seem complete.

Thanks in advance!

HowLongTilBedtime - if you log onto the WW website you should find all the info you need (see my post above).

I've been to my meeting this morning and have lost 2lbs! Smile Pleased with that as had an unplanned takeaway and a meal out at the weekend!

LMGTFY · 13/09/2016 12:42

Morning, I started for the nth time yesterday, I'm great at starting a diet at 9am and by 5pm I'm off it, every day! There's no meetings I can attend locally so it's online and of course, with no one to monitor me, I fall off the wagon daily! I did the good old points years ago and lost early 2 stone, have since put on 3 so rather overweight for me now.

MaximumVolume · 13/09/2016 13:28

Well done Borogroves!

LMG keep reporting back to us.

I'm determined that this diet is going to be short & sweet (although have a lot to lose - 20kg from start weight, 17 to go!), so for me that's the motivation not to cheat; the knowledge that cheating will only drag the whole thing out!

LMGTFY · 14/09/2016 13:11

I've managed one day on point, one over but used weeklies and am on day 3. Dh was my saviour last night as he stopped me going out to buy wine, blocking a woman with pmt was very brave! He poured me a rum and coke which dealt with the craving and stopped me drinking the best part of a bottle of red and a massive bar of chocolate

MaximumVolume · 14/09/2016 15:19

Great work. You're doing this for you, remember. Don't allow yourself to sabotage. Treat days are fine, but day 3 might be a bit early! Grin

LMGTFY · 14/09/2016 15:24

How's everyone else getting on?

Sairelou · 14/09/2016 15:51

Hello!
After lots of uhming and ahhing I decided to join yesterday online. I've downloaded the app and linked it to Apple health and my Fitbit to track my steps.
I have to say I agree with those pp who have said their is a lack of info on joining, but easy to track food. Though I have ordered my free no count cookbook today so I'm looking forward to having a mooch through that.

I managed to get down to 11st 1lb in March (thank you breastfeeding!) but when DD started solids I carried on eating the same as I used to and I've piled it all back on, currently weighing in at between 11st 11lb and 12st. Anyway I'm hoping to get the hang of it soon and have a nice couple of pounds off this week, weigh in is on Monday Smile

Howlongtillbedtime · 14/09/2016 16:12

LMGTFY I am also on day 3 , so far so good . I am enjoying getting to grips with it all . I just need to keep the motivation going . My weigh in day is going to be every wed so I weighed today just to check and in two days I have lost 4 pounds !

I do knows that it is mostly water but it helped keep me on track .

Howlongtillbedtime · 14/09/2016 17:01

For those that have been doing this a while do you always eat the weekly points ? Also the fit points ?

My feeling is the weekly points are fair game but the fit points should be left . Is that right ?

Borogoves · 14/09/2016 17:04

Yes, you're encouraged to earn fit points for your general health, not so that you can eat more. I tend to just stick to my daily points and only sometimes dip into my weeklies. I rarely touch my FitPoints.

Howlongtillbedtime · 14/09/2016 17:10

Thank you , my plan is to leave the weeklies alone as well then unless I really feel the need .

Oscha · 14/09/2016 22:59

I obviously haven't been to a meeting this time round, but last time I did it my leader was adamant that weeklies are for eating and are part of the diet.

LMGTFY · 14/09/2016 23:09

Well day 3 and I've ate all the weeklies! DH bought and made tea so I ate it. Didn't even like it enough to waste so many points but I've tracked the lot and it serves me right I'll get no wine this weekend now!

Howlongtillbedtime · 15/09/2016 08:08

Thanks Oscha , I won't beat myself up if I scoff them then . Today is only day four but do far I am finding i am not too hungry , it is just making me step away from the crisps and bread and biscuits .

Sairelou · 15/09/2016 08:44

I've already eaten all of my weeklies too! Serves me right for having a strawberry cooler at costa yesterday (19SP!) and a magnum for pud after tea (13SP!) finding it a bit difficult to get out of the "I can eat what I like" mentality that I had when I was ebf my DD.

Aquasport · 15/09/2016 13:51

First weigh I today and I have lost 3 pounds. I'm pretty disappointed to be honest as I still had 25 weeklies and have been strict and earning quite a few fit points too. I was really hoping for a dramatic first week to spur me on Sad

LMGTFY · 15/09/2016 14:28

aqua this new plan isn't meant to do the dramatic loss the old point did. Well done on the 3 off, I'll be chuffed if I get that on Monday.

saire glad it's not just me. Having to be super good all weekend now.

Aquasport · 15/09/2016 15:25

Really LMT, well that's reassuring, years ago on old points and no exercise in first week I dropped 5.5. Mind you I was a good deal younger then!!!

LMGTFY · 15/09/2016 22:56

I did the same on the good old points, I miss that eating nothing but veg all week then drinking all the points at the weekend

Aquasport · 16/09/2016 17:12

I didn't drink last weekend but after an Eli's tantrum from dd2 today I can feel my resolve weakening Angry

Aquasport · 16/09/2016 17:12

Epic not Eli's ffs

legolammb · 16/09/2016 19:44

Hi all,
I'm another new online joiner, for about the 50th time! Started last Friday and promptly got struck down by a cold on Monday and have felt rubbish all week and not really tracked, but also haven't had a big appetite. Anyway, the cold was a reminder of why I need to eat better and generally be healthier and take care of myself. 3 stone to lose to be at the top end of 'healthy'! I'm planning to mostly do No Count with a couple of points days to eat more treat type things.

LoisEinhorn · 17/09/2016 13:59

Just joined online. I'm a bit scared of no count, I'm not very good with portion control Grin

Oscha · 17/09/2016 19:32

aqua 3.5lbs is pretty dramatic IMO!

I didn't lose anything in my second week, which possibly answered my question about the sense of eating activity points or not. This week, I am not Wink weigh in isn't until Tuesday so I've got two more days of this week and have just finished my weeklies; tomorrow and Monday will have to be strict.

Morning everyone . I have had a sneaky weigh this morning and so far I have lost 8 pounds ! I am so chuffed . I know most of it is fluid but I am still very pleased .

Now I just have to keep it up for another 6 months Grin
