So who else is back to the WW routine in January?

I lost weight slowly and steadily on the 'filling and healthy' ww plan last year. Lost 16lbs over 16 weeks and I am back within my gold buffer zone but not quite where I'd like to be yet. Have had a couple of weeks off over christmas but planning to weigh in on Monday at my meeting...which I expecte will be rammed!
I also need to increase the exercise as that waned a bit in December.

Hope to have some company on this board for the new year. What are your aims?

I haven't started my WW class yet, but been busy tracking on mfp and I'm already Shock at how many calories I have been overeating for a long time.

Vaguely TMI question but since I've been much too big I swear I get pain in and around my CS internal scar when I ovulate. Is this crazy lady thinking? Because I had to leave work early today and come home to my sofa, 2 paracetamol and a HWB later I'm nearly human

I've decided I want to go on holiday in July, so it gives me something to look forward too and stay motivated for!

Rainicorn · 19/01/2015 07:48

Well I never, I've lost 5lb this week, so 9lb in two weeks. Great start for me. Feeling chuffed. Takes me down to the next stone mark Grin

BackToTheFuschia · 19/01/2015 08:50

Ah well done Rainicorn! I lost 5lb this week and thought I'd struggle to do similar next week but maybe not- you've spurred me on!

SomewhereIBelong · 19/01/2015 08:50

woohooo - Rainicorn - 9lb in 2 weeks - well done!! And it is always nice to go down to that next stone....

I have got rid of 2.5 so far (more this week but WI is not til Wed) - and it has seemingly come off my feet since ALL my shoes are loose!!

SomewhereIBelong · 19/01/2015 08:51

Well done BTTF too!! 5lb.... people are doing really well.

Twinklestar2 · 19/01/2015 13:53

Well done rainicorn and back!

Weighed in this morning at 10st 10 so still 3lbs less than I was after Xmas.

Does anyone want to share menus? I'm doing filling and healthy this week.

Rainicorn · 19/01/2015 16:37

Thanks everyone. I've treat myself to some Colin Caterpillars from M&S Grin

Well done Back.

I tend to just do smaller portions, and do points, so not sure what is point free on F&H. I suppose the fish paella I had last weekend would be point free?

hevs10593 · 19/01/2015 17:11

Well done rainicorn!

What is filling and healthy? I have all the books do you eat the green highlighted foods? What about things that aren't highlighted? Do you point anything or have any kind of points allowance?

Twinklestar2 · 19/01/2015 18:45

You eat freely from the green highlighted foods and use pp for anything not highlighted.

HedgehogsDontBite · 19/01/2015 18:46

You get the 49 weekly points allowance to use on chocolate stuff that has a points value. All the stuff shown as green is free, you can eat freely. The points value they show is for if you are counting daily points so you can ignore them.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 18:55

I've been doing more filling & healthy days recently. I find those better when I'm at home (4 days a week) and pointing is better when I'm at work (3 days a week) seems to work well. Today I did f&h and had a smoothie for breakfast made with skimmed milk, frozen berries and fat free Greek yogurt. Lunch was crumpets with laughing cow triangles 2pts and dinner was spag bol with whole wheat pasta so all free but then had 2 WW fromage frais 2pts so only used 4 pts today. I usually allow myself up to 7 points from the weekly allowance per day. Also earned 6 activity points this morning going for a loooong walk!

FixItUpChappie · 19/01/2015 19:06

I really want to change my day from Monday - I find weekends really hard and I want to feel able to use my extra points without worrying about a weigh in first thing in the morning. Can anyone tell me how to change my weigh in day online? I tried the online instructions but they talked about drop down windows that just are not on my version?!

Settings....weight tracking. I see monday but its not a link that I can change?

HedgehogsDontBite · 19/01/2015 19:08

Lunch was crumpets with laughing cow triangles 2pts

Please explain. Are crumpets free? I've had to sign up to the Swedish WW as the UK one take my bankcard. I can tell you the points value of pickled herring and elk steak, but crumpets? Confused

Twinklestar2 · 19/01/2015 19:11

Yes crumpets are free Grin

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:14

They are indeed free hedgehogs ??. I have an enormous stash of them in the freezer!!

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:16

Just having a look for you now fixitup

HedgehogsDontBite · 19/01/2015 19:20

Honestly, my jaw is completely on the ground with shock. I could quite happily live off crumpets alone. I'd be stick thin if I were on the UK one.

I wanted to sign up to the UK one to see how they differ because there's so much on the Swedish one which is readily available in supermarkets here but that we couldn't find in the UK.

There has to be a catch somewhere though. How come you get delicious crumpets free but the only free bread type product on mine is vile, pumpernickel type bread?

I'm so going to be on the next flight over with an extra large empty suitcase.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:20

Fixitup are you on a computer/laptop? This is the only way I can change my day. You open the plan manager, go into weight tracker, settings and then set weight and goals. There should be an 'edit' link next to your current weigh in day.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:24

It does seem too good to be true hedgehogs but it's definitely correct! All that's needed is to point the toppings unless you use something like marmite or cottage cheese which are also free on f&h

HedgehogsDontBite · 19/01/2015 19:26

Is fruit free in the UK? I seem to recall that only veg was free, but that was maybe 10 years ago.

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:31

Yes fruit is free now, all fresh except avocado. Frozen and tinned in natural juice (drained). Can you tell I have the list next to me?!

hevs10593 · 19/01/2015 19:32

So just to clarify, you get 49 weekly points and you point anything not green? I might have to give it a try.
Hopelass- you mix points days and filling ans healtgy days up? Can you do this?

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:37

Hevs - from the ww website "You can have as many or as few Filling & Healthy days as you want: a day, a week, or all the time. You might find it especially helpful when you're travelling or on the go, or when you want to try something different. Don't worry; if you find it’s not for you, you can always switch back to tracking."

I do f&h all days except tues, weds and thurs and my weigh in day is friday. I lost 2 stone last year doing that and have so far this year lost 5lb so it does seem to work!

Hopelass · 19/01/2015 19:37

And yes, all in green is free. Everything else comes out of your 49 weekly points.
